World tendency question

Hey there, I finally gathered the courage to play demon souls again xd, amd i'm playing an strengh build and I really want the dragon bone smasher.

thing is, I've gone and killed the armor spider, and helped people do it.

If I play online? Can I reach pure white world tendency? or playin online will only give me neutral world tendency? D:

I know how to get it, I'm just asking if I can play online and get pure white tendecy or if I play online the tendency becomes neutral D:

It's best to play the game off line if you're looking to change your world tendency, as everytime you log out and then log back in again the game resets the level in-line with the server median, and so more often than not you'll end up finding all of your hard work undone.

Playing online will only shift the tendency towards that of the server, usually one step whiter than neutral, unless there's a tendency event going on.
Playing as a blue phantom will not change your tendency, only the host's world is affected.
The way to change it online is to be in human form in an area the boss is still alive in (2-2), and kill invading phantoms until you reach pure white. Then kill yourself in the nexus and defeat the boss of 2-2 in soul form, to prevent shifting the world back to black if you die.

What about character tendency? Will It shift towards white when I help a host kill the boss?

No, but killing an invader for the host will change it.

You can get pure white while online.

Whenever I play Demon's I can usually get pure white online If I help like 2 or 3 people beat the boss.(boss kills shift tendency to white)

I thought this only was the case for the host, extra white character tendency for reviving blue phantoms, but I'm a bit rusty on the tendency stuff.

Yeah,if you want white world tendency,I actually recommend to play online,beat the boss and usually you have the pure white world tendency!
T'was pretty useful to make the twin Dragons disappear and pick that fire-proof shield.

You cannot raise your own world tendency by beating a boss in someone else's world. World tendency shifts have to occur in your own game world. You can only alter your character tendency in other world.

A simple rule of thumb is that you don't effect tendency unless you're in human form, right? Or does killing NPC's still shift it towards black.

I believe it shifts it whatever your form.

From the answers I think I can't, that means I should fight the flameluker and dragon god alone. shame :S

I believe if you use the miracle that turns your blue phantoms into "human form" it counts toward a white tendency.

But white phantoms generally don't like to be resurrected because they want to get souuuuuuls.

Or are too lazy (like I was farming eyes) to get that status to keep your worlds black. Also why I quit that game because I'd have to change it to black every damn day. I was late to the party so I don't expect much of anything from FROMSOFT at all. Before the hate, know that I was a very very dedicated ChromeHounds player and we have no love for FROMSOFT's management of the "boosters" (our cheaters).
