High Risk Of Hacking?

One of the main problems i have with the dark souls PC release is the problem of small minded players hacking the game.As i have experienced hacking is easier on the PC and thus i am afraid of increased hack risk.

What are your options on this?

Well, I play on Xbox and players are hacking that all the time, so I guess it wouldn't change too much for me if players hacked the PC port.

I'm pretty jaded to it all, I now try and enjoy games with other people who do not cheat and treat others fairly. I choose to just ignore the hackers whilst smiling at them and letting them enjoy the game how they want. They can have their fun so long as it's not interfering with mine.

The main issue is people DDoSing these days, so just be wary of who you allow to contact you in certain mediums such as Skype.

This might be because i stay undead a lot (Avoiding invasions much?) But i have N.E.V.E.R met a Hacker on the PS3....Am i living in blissful ignorance?

Seemingly infinite health, stamina, can have max every stat but be SL0 so you receive no souls if you defeat them, or be above level cap meaning they have godly stats.

Yup, hackers a plenty!

I don't really care though; not even sure I'll bother with the PC Edition so far.

VAC is a pretty good deterrent to hackers I find, so im not so worried.

not to say there wont be a few about, but thats the nature of online vidya.

I don't think they are actually going to use VAC.

PC sounds pretty dull right now. I'm most likely just going to get the DLC on my PS3.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know plenty that aren't buying it because we expected it to be technically superior. A lot, including myself, are buying it so that we can have access to the new content well before the consoles get it. It could be a solid month or two before the console's get DLC and I just don't want to wait.

Getting it on Pc because it's my main platform, not really bothered about hacking. If the Souls series keeps getting ported out to Pc I won't need a PlayStation ever again.

This,I dont even care that its maxed at 30 fps. (i actually perfer it that way) now everyone is playing at the same speed all the time. so even the guy with a store bought ready made pc can compete with the water cooled monolith player

Since there's apparently a lot of hackers on Xbox I'd imagine they'd be even more rampant on PC.
