Here is what i've found till now:
The Zulu had a calendar of thirteen months( moons). It was a lunar calendar. They divided the year into two season: the rainy season or working season and the dry or winter season (Murray 77).
umBasa-(also called Um6aso), the winter fires are first lit, starts at the end of February
"We are currently in the ninth month, uMbasa, that begins with new moon
in March (although some have it beginning at the end of February). The
name is derived from the verb basa, to kindle a fire. "
I want to know if you guys know more about it, cause i havent found anything.
