Egg head attack

I wanna make an egg head BK cosplay

Well I'll try to keep this on the front page till the pc version comes out. Then we'll get some clarity. Also, could we dig through the pc files and find out what the pendent does?

I have tested this twice now.
Yesterday as a dark spirit. I attacked host 100+ times with the worm attack. No infection.
Just now I was host and attacked a dark spirit with the worm attack 100+ times. No infection.
Both times the opponent was fully armoured for 50 and naked for 50. Our players are SL 125 and my character is a chaos servant +3.
I do not buy this claim some make here.
There is no video evidence on YouTube. I recorded both my sessions but will not upload obviously as there is nothing to see lol.
Am I missing something obvious here...

Re fire resist, yes you have to watch out for pyromancy and fire weapons, which is ironic for a chaos servant build. But it is manageable with the typical fire resist gear/shields. You will have other handicaps such as no headgear, and the fact that the whole egg seems to count for ranged headwounds (you haven't lived until you've been hit in the egg with a dragon slayer arrow), so this is all about style and sweet infections anyway.

When I got to stage 2, my egghead did the burst thing again and got bigger.

I don't have the egghead anymore. I'll do it again though and take a picture for you. I was on ng+7 so I was getting a lot of souls and it didn't take too long to get to stage 2.


Edit: I'll also take a picture of stage 1 and then one of stage 2.

Alright, sounds good then lol. The more info we have on this, the better.

I'm not trollin. My mate agreed to let me test on him. Both times took 15 or 20 mins each.

Yeah Acidic has come at me with a few of those stage 2 heads.

Any of you guys getting the pc version? Or will we be able to look through all the files and such without buying the game?

Great pictures guys, thanks. From the looks of it, mine is definitely at or near Stage 2 size (same height, a bit narrower). I honestly don't even remember it looking like stage 1. Are those pics Xbox or PS3?

Yeah, I was going off the picture captions, which is also how I tend to think of the egg:

Stage 0: head transforms following infection, but you don't have an actual egg with bite attack

Stage 1 egg: head transforms again to full egg, but egg is still small

Stage 2 egg: Egg is huge from absorbed souls

Stage 3 egg: Egg sprouts into nightmarish spiderhead that spews lava on all your enemies at your command.*

*may or may not be completely made up.

Im interested in seeing stage 3 of this! Unfortunately I do not have the proper character to see it :s

We don't know if there is a stage 3 yet. But I would be surprised if there wasn't something more to the egg head.

If there was a stage 3 Acidic would of gotten it. I will guess stage 3 was planned and scrapped

I also disagree with the whole can infect online thing, I've tried, but not tested. I'd have to see some absolute video proof to be convinced.

There's still hope. There is a good chance it progresses to stage 3 via some other way than absorbing souls. I'm certain that if there is a stage 3, it is achieved by some hidden method. Has the pc version come out yet?

Yep I own it, but I shalln't be risking my files as my knowledge of computers isn't excellent.

Never been infected by one after been bitten by the worm.

I'm pretty sure it was tested extensively and people do get infected, although obviously it is not guaranteed. ChaosServantSpectre indicated he fought someone long enough to actually see the infection trigger; I've not had that happen myself but I did manage to repeatedly bite (6-7 times) a fatrolling Darkmoon in Anor Londo. About 20 minutes later, after I'd almost forgotten about it, I got a long and seemingly enraged message from that player in German. The time delay was such that they obviously weren't complaining about the biting itself, but very likely about getting infected by it. I also note that it usually takes me 8-10 bites to get infected from the mobs themselves even if I strip down, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's a low % in pvp either.
