New Metal Gear Solid GAME!!!!!

Yea i got the platinum for MGS3 hd collection recently, i was thinking about going for the MGS4 trophies but a mandatory of 8 playthroughs is rather extreme. I wish the people who had already beat the game could at least get the trophies they would have got, i understand that could be pretty complicated though.

The MGS movie that was announced, has me torn. I'm excited, but i can just see them doing a bad job. Thankfully its the director who worked on the marvel movies(x-men,spiderman,iron man,ext) and kojima said he trusts them. I would have prefer to have a MGS anime movie done in the same style animation as ghost in the shell or that matrix anime, but oh well.

yea an anime would be better for a movie but hopefully thell have co-op campaigning, on MGS 4 I loved to sneak around as a box

Personal opinion, but the series needs to finish so he can move on to something new, as well as finish past projects. I was glad he handed down rising, since I thought he'd be able to work on Z.O.E. 3, but apparently not.

I'm gonna be over here, waiting for Z.O.E. 3 to come out in another 8 years. It'll be like how all the old Duke Nukem fans felt.

I'm fine with another MGS, but yes I think he needs to do other projects and invest in a new IP honestly. I am looking forwards to this, definitely skipping Rising to instead get this one when it comes out, considering Raiden is one of my most hated characters. I do appreciate what he was trying to do with him and understand the steps he took, I just think the end result with him was poor. Actually I liked him better before the Cyber Ninja stuff. I'm glad as hell though he is going back in time, rather than pulling some sort of "Snake is still alive!" ********. I do actually enjoy playing as Big Boss more, though I do think if yet another one is made that he makes a completely new character. Maybe similar to Jack but better in performance. We need the new every man character to help us grow and watch them develop, but maybe cut back on the looking like an anime character.

Why would someone want it as an anime? Wouldn't a CG movie just be ideal.

Tolvo the reason i think an anime would work best is because since MGS on ps1 the games have always had anime like drawings of all the characters on the case/guide/main menu,and in MGS1 the faces for the codec ext. I always thought they were very cool, im sure others do too. Heres what i mean.

Yea they are basically concept art, but it just peeked my interest in how awesome an animated metal gear solid movie would be. Especially if it was done in the more old school art style. I have always felt MGS was influenced by anime, and would fit that style perfect. Keep in mind not all anime has gigantic eyes, i agree that would look a bit odd. Thats why i think a style like ghost in the shell had would be perfect. Plus the famous line from otacon "this is like something out of one of my anime" would be perfect for breaking the 4th wall. Something kojima always loved to do. honestly i just want an anime movie that is based on MGS1, that would just be so perfect in my opinion. Me and my friends have been talking about how awesome that would be since i was in 4th grade. Mainly because ghost in the shell and mgs1 both came to america around the same time, and i loved them both as a kid. I always just thought they were somewhat similar, and while i got a decent ghost in the shell game i never got a metal gear solid anime.

I suppose its a bit hard for me to imagine an anime MGS movie since I hate anime haha. So maybe I just can't see it.

this is the style im talking about, tell me that wouldn't be cool. This is from ghost in the shell. I can totally understand why you wouldn't like anime, but there IS a lot of awesome anime. I can agree a lot of it is utter crap though. The good anime now days is few and far between. I suggest you give anime like Akira,Ghost in the Shell,Ninja Scroll, and Berzerk a chance if you haven't. You might find you actually enjoy them. Even some of my friends that just completely hated anime(especially DBZ,Pokemon ext) liked a few of those.

No, I know what you mean. I actually am a fan of Ghost in the Shell and a few of them, but yeah in my eyes most are pretty crap. But that's kind of my feeling about most anything, Most games are crap, most films, TV shows, people. I'm quite a cynic.
