Deal With The Devil...
Would you make a deal with the devil or a demon? If you had the chance would you?

Depending on the deal, I could see myself becoming a Mephistopheles.

Sign up a pact with the devil for a Dark Hand, then suck his Humanity and chain backstab him to death.
While naked.

I've watched the overly circuitous plans that are the style of the Robot Devil and all the trickery involved therein. I would rather avoid a deal methinks

He held up his end of the bargain, and Bender blew out Leela's ears on his own.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Yes but the whole process was designed to leave as many people as miserable as possible with their decisions. Plus, if you've been watching the new season Bender didn't technically have free will yet, which is something the Robot Devil might have known and exploited, as in calculating the programmed response. As for Leela, she did have free will but her part of the pact was probably the easiest to predict knowing all she would think she was doing was trading one physical disadvantage for another. As they say, the Devil's in the details and while he did hold up his end, the details are the problem I would worry about.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
True, true.
I'm just saying that as two-faced as the Robot Devil is, he is always there waiting with open arms and willing to hash out a deal, and he always lets the other party exhaust every option at their disposal to get more favorable terms/back out of the deal entirely.
This is shown by him handing over what would turn out to be a weapon (his gold fiddle) to be used against him in order to honor the details of his agreements.

Mephistopheles is the Devil, it's just another of his names. I don't think the Devil would agree to there being two of him. He's kind of a one man band.

In recent fiction, in the older myths he was a demon that was tricked into serving Satan, though of course through his own free will. He serves as a warning to others wishing to fall from the path, Meph himself warning those he deals with as to make sure they don't suffer his fate.
In other forms he is a demon that tempts those who are of wicked heart, meaning they were damned one way or another.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Mephistopheles is a demon mostly known in the 'Dr.Faust legend' an old german legent, in the legent he wan an agent of Lucifer that when summoned by Faust sdvises the scholar to not forget the promise of heaven to pursue his goals, he was a demon described as a devil. But as Mephistophelesis a name and not a rank or type you cannot become him. So you two are both right, in a way...

It'd depend on the deal and the devil. Are we talking crossroads devil or the actual devil?

The Krampus is a european christmas spirit that kidnaps and beats children, eating them presumably. In some believes he even violates them.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Lets officially add i'm not in support of molesting Krampus. He's not the common variant. Even devouring Krampus is a sub-version. If God has the Devil, Santa has the Krampus. If you're good: toys and candy. If you're naughty: coal and beatings
