I feel your pain.....I don't even bother with the giant mushroom people for this very reason. Easier for me to just avoid them.

Now Rifter I'm afraid I must disagree, it's far more fun chasing down all the little one's first. I prefer using my chaos claymore as its just strong enough to leave them a sliver of health so they'll let out a good scream before the end, it's their parents fault really, if they didnt want to watch their children die they'd learn to run.

WOW. No lie - this exact scenario happened to me today after I beat Queelag and Ceaseless Discharge. I remember the troubles I had with the Great Hollow and was all "oh yeah, I'll be fine this time. The 2 big'uns came up while I was wailing on their kids, mis-rolled and pinned myself in a corner. Promptly one-shotted with 16k souls. Died falling off a branch on my way to retrieve them. Won't be back until I can warp out.

^^ I'd like to say the same but once I've met a foe like that I cant simply ignore it. I'll be going back into the Hollow shortly. Got my titanite Catch Pole +2 (good range, very powerful) equipped so I can TRY and take em' out from a distance

I think these guys catch a lot of people off guard.
