Le Points?

So i'm pretty much new here if you didn't notice, but well, i was wondering about something. There's reputation as i've already read about, and there's these ''points'' which you seem to get from posting but also something else as not all points of other people are equal to the amount of posts. Now, i did use the search engine, but i can't say i found anything about it, so idk, perhaps i'm just blind, but i'm really curious about what it might just be....so...what is it for?

Edit: The reason i'm asking is simply because i'm curious, i could see that it's probably not of much importance, but seeing as it's THERE even then, i'd just like to ask. Just making things clear. Yeah.

Points are some combination of rep, time spend online (I think in days) and posts. You can think of it like a true "age" meter, rather than posts being a true talker meter.

After you have X number of posts you're going to start to see a little bar with a + on top of it and a - bellow, thats one way to raise repoutation, another way is when you make a thread asking for help, and your answer is the best he will press the thanks button on your reply, giving you rep too... about the points systen i really dont know anything

You'll see some guys with very high number of posts and low points. Me for example make a lot of threads and have high points.

Yeah that's exactly what had me making this topic in the first place xD

Normally you get a point per day, 3 per thread you make and a point per post. However posts in off topic don't give points.

Wasn't there some sort of game/ RP aspect which used to use the points.... or atleast this forum has the capacity to use them for some specific reason....
