pvp covenant?

hey. i don't really like invading to duel, and i don't like attacking questers. i've been changing all of my toons to different covenants.

the options i was looking at where
sunbro - i like coop and have no problems if im seen as ganking while i protect a quester.
forest hunter - i don't mind the lack of rules and ganks.
gravelord - could be fun, but i never had as many fights doing this and idk if i like the medley of questers/duelers id get jumping in.
dragon - i don't mind sacrificing armor for bigger weapons and extra dragon spells. would be an option if anything.

possibly darkmoon.. id do it for danor but i think forest is the better choice.

Darkwraith and the Red Soapstone... You can easilly find someone to summon you to a duel, depending on your level.

Dragon is meant for PvP duels, but since players would rather get humanity, you're better off with RSS. Also you don't actually have to be a dragon to use the Eye, just in the cov.

yeah right on.. i can understand that some people would like invading.. but uh i don't really like attacking questers. i host and have a rss already tho.

Darkmoon, they invade only sinners, questers or not, they know they made a mistake and should be ready for retribution.

and yeah i always summon the dragon eyes in burg, but half the time they aren't even dragons..

i'll probably pick between sunbro just because being gold is awesome and it'd let players know that i like to do pve as well, or be a dragon and still try to participate in all the other stuff- one way or the other..

i dunno about gravelord.. it was broken on release, uses consumables to invade and i swear to god i drop the sign and ill get ganked by blue phantoms while im fighting a red from waiting so long for them to show up.

I always thought it would be cool to try gravelording, but I'm a dragon through and through, perhaps it will work right in PtD (I am not sure myself).

yeah i mean.. i'm not to much of a fan of invading unless the person knows what theyre getting into.
i kind of hate the downtime where i'm freaking looking for them or i find 3 guys waiting with beatsticks at my spawn...

plus i dont want to be "that guy again!" to someone where i just keep invading them over and over searching for duels. i'd rather em see the rss and go "okay. i'll duel this fool."

id do darkmoon to do dark anor londo honestly, and that's what i did primarily in the past since that stupid blue orb never works hahah.. or i'd use cracked red eye orbs.

You also should consider that invading questers is part of the Dark Souls experience, and being human is just a risk

well i mean, so is being a summon. two sides of a coin.

I also get a thrill out of protector in co-op myself, so I think its a great idea too.

go full coop!!! i love cooping more than dueling, its actually harder than invading since you have to protect someone and you get constant invasions too which is so fun.

If you don't like hassling people then GL isn't for you The best rate of invasions I get while GLording is by forcing them to invade me; standing in a place where they either have to fight me or a badass BP.

yea.. its simpler but more complex..

i'm just so freaking tired of the burg right now, so i've just been co oping and invading the forest. theres no oh he didnt bow, oh he healed, oh hornet.. just stab him, protect host, kill boss... or help your forest buddy out/hold out till the crew arrives.

not even down for duels with pubs anymore.

okay.. yeah then thats off the list. i like the discussion going on tho, but haha just on the side.. forest, dragon or sunbro? i can't even decide.

and being a sunbro means the servers will set me up with other sunbros to co op more frequently.. so id get more than being gold haha, but being gold is still sick.

If I can't chose DW, I would chose the Forest Hunter Covenant.

No special item, just a ring to be summoned... Also, the forest is a great place for duels, very ample and with some covers and props.

I think if what you're after is PvP, nothing beats forest. Yes, you'll meet a ton of gankers, but at least you don't always invade in front of the stupid door and you can generally go about your business until Alvina summons you.

I think Gravelords are interesting and underrepresented. There's a great resource on here about how to spread misery properly if you decide to go that route.

What I've done is made a level 500 something character, got ALL the gear/weapons in the game, ran through new game a bunch of times (whenever I'm tired of PvP), and then FH. I can use anything in the game with the absolute maximum damage, and I can change my loadout anytime I want.

Want to FH with a pure pyro build? Fine. Dusk Crown/BDCR/10 att slots/and five stacks of every cast in the game. Bored ten minutes later? Sorc/faith, swap some gear around and you're PvPing again in less than five minutes.

I figure instead of making ten completely different builds, i'd just make one build that does everything. And better than any niche build would or even could.

I think it sounds like, Rifter, you should be a sun bro.

You get to Co op. which is something you enjoy, and you're bound to get some invasions while doing so. Also you can ALWAYS host. Burg/moonpit/kiln or really anywhere you decide to stop progress (I like to place the lord vessel on sunrbros and eternally help people with the Lord's souls but that's me)

Tired of smacking O&S around? Stand around in human form in AL and enjoy to Wraiths/Moons comming at you. Out of humanity? Help a dude get 4kings taken down... it's really nice actually

think sl 100 will be good for a sunbro after ptde is out? maybe 200, but i bet that'd be slow. i usually use them at like 30,50,70,90.

yeah, i know the downward invading cap is not present in the forest, but how frequent are invasions at like 500 and 700?


ive made my two new sl 100's dragons atm. i still have plenty of slots for dedicated sunbros at the bottom and a 500 or 700 forest hunter tho.. maybe when i'm redoing my characters i'll just put them all in the three covenants.

In my experience it's the same as it is at any level in the forest. Hunting or hosting. 80. 500. It's all the same
