Anor Londo is generally a good place for 55. You should also be able to get co-op at new londo or the archives. What gear are you wearing?

Don't know why that's happening to you. When you say S&P I assume you're talking about Snorlax and Pikachu and if that's the case then you should be a great level to action for that fight.
