I may be wrong on this, but i believe the great heal to be the superior. Even if it does not heal more it still heals a big amount of health, so it really shouldn't matter + you're not forced into a covenant to use it.

You don't need to be in any covenant to use replenishment.

if you use replenishment you won't be able to use any other Faith goodies like Great magic barrier, or Vow of Silence.

Seeing as i totally missunderstood things i'll just start over.

I have a character at 45 faith, and the great heal really seems much more useful. You have one more heal than with replenishment, and like was said before, it does such a big amount of healing that it really shouldn't matter. The greal heal is the better choice really.

What's your strategy reim? I'll let you cast Replenishment after we bow as part of the buff/grass ritual, but if I see you casting Great Heal mid fight, I'll backstab/hit/stunlock you with all my might. silly

Great Heal will heal about 10X your magic adjustment. Having the thoruland talisman usually provides a nearly full heal (or full heal in most cases). Replenishment heals a static 600 HP.

The only difference is that Replenishment helps to recover HP you lose while you're fighting, but the heal is limited while 1 Great Heal puts you back at 100% easily. Take Great Heal.

Great heal with give you more HP, but Replenishment is better for PvP, you can buff before the fight and get a constant regen that gives you 600-800 more HP total.

Yesterday I was in the BF pit with my strength/faith build and I got summoned for a match. We bowed and I cast replenishment. My opponent turned his back to me and made the shrugging gesture. Is it not cool to cast the miracle in PVP? I mean, it's a FAITH build, for pete's sake...

I believe that in a duel/pvp that rules have not been set there are things to expect and not expect, whenever it's honorable anyway. And healing within a duel is commonly disliked. Using replenishment to heal as time goes by would probably be seen in the same manner.

I disagree about Replenishment being shunned. And, for Great Heal, it takes so much time that you'll be BS in a duel, unless you chose your times well. Fair game, IMO.

Replenishment heals 600 HP or 720 HP if you use one of the rings, that's it. Great Heal does far, far more than that.

Replishment can be useful for defensive-type strategies. Ones where you aren't aggressive. It can force your opponent into being more aggressive, which you can use to your advantage. The downside is it encourages turtling.
