Old Videogames You Don't Know About

Easy...just post about one of your favorite old videogames you think not many other people have played, or that nobody has probably played for a long time! Hell, it could even be a relatively new, obscure game. Just post pictures of, stories about, anything involving semi-unknown games that you love. ***, it could be any damn game, so long as you loved it!

I'll start with a simple:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Speaking of Star Wars games:

ICEWIND Dale, Rune, system sock 1 and 2, hellgate series, Painkiller best demon slaying shooter ever

ActRaiser 2. I don't know about you... but the mechanisms of levels and battlement seems similar to that of Demon Souls, in terms of the level set up teleportations, as well as hard combat

(they are both built as general arcade games, mechanic wise. If you disagree about Dark Souls and Demon Souls not being built similar to that of an Adventure Arcade Game, your ignorance proceeds you)

I raise you Illusion of Gaia, was may be the same company as Actraiser which I did play, and the semi vague series it was, with Soul Blazer and Terranigma

Great 2D platformer with innovative gameplay elements for its time.

Uplug... what is that!? I am not a japenese gamer, so most of their games are unknown to me. This is no acception. What is Psychic 5?

Skies of Arcadia is one of if not my alltime favorite RPG of all time.

Zone of the enders. Sooooo hope they do the HD collection for the ps vita.

Real old school rpg.... Ultima..... 5 was best but all great rpgs.

You ever jailbreak your PSP? If you think they'll release it, don't bother I suppose, but I played both Snatcher and Policenauts as well as Metal Gears 1 & 2 via my jailbroken PSP.

Well, someone is a big fan of Hideo Kojima's work , and wasn't Snatcher an electronic graphic novel? On the lines of Star Wars again: X-wing vs. Tie Fighter, amazing game to lan.

Both Snatcher and Policenauts were like that. But yeah, story-wise and directorial-wise, I don't think any games compares to Kojima's.

Also, Terminator 2 was favorite movie when I was 2 years old, so I think his consistent inspiration from 80's-90's action flicks helps.

His new game is open-world, and supposedly a step away from his hyper-directed games, however.

Haha, I have no idea, either...my friend did it for me. I only use it for old games, most of which are generally unplayable nowadays (like where the hell am I gonna get a functioning MSX, let alone the games?)

Now I feel like I should download some games... I miss some of the old hard arcade games I had. Actraiser 2 should be fun when I get it again, one way or another. Fun game, and brutal if not prepared.

Those are my top three of all time. M.U.L.E is only good multiplayer (hotseat -- old school multiplayer).

No love for FFT yet? easily one of my top games ever... and yeah I wish they'd do more with zone of the enders, that game was addicting...

If you're referring to Final Fantasy Tactics, I'm a huge fan. I cited Tactics Ogre instead of FFT because it's less well known, and it was also the progenitor to FFT.

I still own, and still play the PS1 FFT. I got a little bit of hands on with the PSP FFT but didn't really like the changes.
