I always assumed the "Ariamis" in "The Painted World of Ariamis" was like the "England" In "The Kingdom of England". I can see the logic in thinking it's the name of the painter as well though.

It seems boreal meant something else than I thought it did. I assumed that it could also be used as a word for something exceptionally cold, but it seems I was wrong.
