And why should?
You're starting new game therefore you should go through full process to unlock area. Crest of Artorias doesn't transfer and it's actually the same; you're opening new area.

LOL... Having played through this game probably more than 20 times--and all the way to NG+++++++, I was hoping to cut another play-through short and just hit the DLC.
PvE isn't a challenge when you know everything like the back of your hand.

Be careful in NG+ though, the DLC is challenging enough, my Dex/Endurance build w/ Dagger + Shield is getting brutally murdered by NG+ Artorias so I've decided to reroll, aha.

Just to confirm: you got the Broken Pendant in NG, then beat Gwynn to go into NG+, and still had the Broken Pendant in your inventory?

Well, getting to NG+ with my SL20 Char is a Challange for me, for most Bosses i am a one Hit - and no one out there to help me, seems to be unusual.

Pretty sure it doesn't? Never really thought it would, to be honest. I can't confirm it now because I'm at work, but when I get home, if no one has yet, I will.

It does not, I played it on PC, and am in the DLC areas now in NG+, and it doesn't.

Just confirmed too, it disappears once you go to ng+ like any other key.
