Thanks Amos, both look stellar, I'm really attracted to the caster abilities of the 2nd one, may see if I can tweak either's armor to see how much room I have to develop a wardrobe (only turnoff of the 2nd, lack of weight options, but I'll tweak and play with it till I love it). I'm hoping for a good all-around Arty Greatsword user that can pull out a lot of tricks.
I've been using a crossbow and catalyst in my second hand slots, and a shield of some kind in my off hand.

How you will use the build: I want this to be mainly a bow user, initiating from distance & switching to melee for close combat. I've been thinking Black Bow of Pharis + Ricard's Rapier, running with Crystal Magic Weapon. By the way, can the bow be enchanted? I'd assume it should be but I'd better ask. For shield I was thinking Balder. All I need now is to put it together somehow. Also, would you suggest Lightning bow or Normal +15 with enchantments?

can have a variety of main weapon, Shotel can be used to screw turtles - can also menu swap this to BSS or Rapier etc; Rapier can be used to Backstab and Chainstab like an arse. Claymore or demon spear is a viable swap for the Halberd I believe. You can also at the end of the match menu swap your halberd to a dark hand and drain their humanity as a +3 darkwraith and steal 10 of their humanity. This means if they only have a Chaos blade and 10 humanity you have ruined their streak even if you don't win.

That's not even hard. Base reqs Chaos Rapier with Hornets, you auto meet the reqs for Demon or ele pathed regular spear. 14 faith. I'm like SL 10 now....so 40end 50+ vit.

Hi, I need help awesomizing my new char. I am making a township invader who will look and, hopefully, act like the township mobs (bloated head, claws, etc). Damage output is far less important than survivability and lulz -- I don't expect to kill many people if anyone but I do want to be able to lead a merry chase. Here are my basic reqs:

sl 55

fast roll

1000 hp min

min two spell slots (for flash sweat and some sort of poison)

Either ring of fog or hidden body, for that leap out of the darkness fun

53+ poise

Here is what I have so far, a basic vit build using chaos claws. But I could be sold on a dex/pyro type using regular +15 claws, or perhaps a faith variant with VoS or KJ. Since rolling will be basically my only defense I'll probably need more stamina than this as well.

You simply can't get enough dex to make cast speeds worth the investment and have 4 digit hp at 55....

im not sure if the rapier is going to be able to pull off 1500 damage backstabs.

I haven't tested Chaos Hornet's in a while but I used to get 1800, I'm not sure if the hornet nerf drops that below 1500 or not.

what about like a pw, buffed dragon tooth and a hornet ring. or any massive strength weapon.. zwei whatever. that's what i was trying to do.

You get more AR and less weight by simply using a large club, removing the need to menu swap off you cat after buffing to get fastroll.

Lol, thanks guys. Yeah I have to go back and see where the dex cast cutoff is, I assumed 40 which makes it hard. Btw poison casts while wearing the bloated head are everything I'd hoped for. Also turns out that if you wear the ring of fog and then throw on flash sweat you look like some freaky water elemental.
