Same as a guild, officers hand out a LinkPearl and then you can join. But they might change it completely in ARR so yeah...

Onion do Eidolons exist in FFXIV? Is there like a summoner class?

My character name of the one I use most is Bohemond Antioch.

And there will be a summoner class in A Realm Reborn Wyrm.

Also will there be a Red Mage like in FFXI?? Cuz that was my Favorite class in that game

LOL I just started watching him like three weeks ago and I like his videos. I like watching the gameplay for FFXIV, it shows what I can expect!! His voice is awesome for commentating. I can't believe that he is the leader of a large Linkshell It is so cool!!

Hey Onion, by request of sambo (through youtube ) I have joined Distant World. We are friends on youtube, and when I mentioned I was gonna play FFXIV when 2.0 comes out he told me to join the LinkShell

Time for another dumb question. What's a Linkshell? From what I'm reading it sounds kind of like a clan or something similar.

Yeah it's the clans/guilds etc of FF XIV. One of the great things about 1.0 was the community and events.

Updated races and city descriptions in the 'locations and setting' section. Will start on 'combat,classes and jobs' on Sunday and Monday, I'm going out to get drunk, have a great weekend.

Great. I'm undecided on a Lalafell or Elezen for my first toon.
