Which Version Has The Most Active PVP

I own a ps3, 360, and PC. I originally first started playing dark souls on the xbox and would like to play again some which has the largest community now with the new PC version out.

The largest DkS playing community is probably on the PS3 since that conosole is more popular in areas outside of the US thus larger raw number of people (Japan, Far East, S. America, etc), then I would say XBOX followed by PC. Theoretically the PC should have a larger community since more people have PCs than XBOXs. These are my opinions only but there was a web site I looked at a while back which provided some figures and it did say DkS on PS3 had more players. Just do a Google search.

There isn't much of a difference between PS3 and Xbox.
PC on the other hand has some trouble with it's PvP. So even if there might be enough players playing, you might not get as fast PvP as you would on the consoles.

1 - PS3
2 - Xbox
3 - PC

Careful though, the Xbox and PC version seem to be littered with hackers who make themselves unkillable, unless you push them off a cliff. No offense to anyone on either of those, I'm just voicing what I've heard.

As for the popularity, I've no idea, everyone else has good tips though.

I've played both consoles, and while there's probably no way to get definitive numbers on active players unless the publisher releases them, they both seem well-populated. I'm on Xbox most of the time, and what I see is a TON of people from western Europe along with N.A. players. The game seems really popular in the UK.

At level 39, I was in the Blighttown swamp this morning (Saturday), and put down my sign at least a dozen times. It was picked up every time within 30 seconds. There may have been doubts about whether or not the game would fly on Xbox, but I can attest, it's definitely got a huge following.

I think those stories about Xbox modders are overblown. I rarely, if ever, run into these players, and I've spent a heavy amount of time in the PvP hotspots in Ooolacile.

If that is indeed the case, then good. I didn't mean to sound like an Xbox/PC hater lol, I've only played on the Ps3 so I only have videos and what people say on forums to tell me about the community on either of them.

Yeah, I'm with Back Lot it's way overblown. They're out there for sure, but they are a decided - thankfully - minority.

No worrries, bro. It's all good. Like anything, one horror story always seems to reach a million people and the assumption is, it's an epidimic. But I could probably count on one hand the number I've met in PvP. A lot of those dil-holes end up moving on anyway as soon as the next shiny new game comes out.

I was just thinking since I lost all my characters on dark souls for the 360 if ps3 would be more active. I guess I will just stick with 360 since I have some friends on there too.

The xbox does not have a lot of hackers. I VERY rarely fight a hacker and I pvp A LOT. PC I don't know. But saying xbox is littered with hackers is straight up wrong.

Although PS3 does have Japanese players, you probably do not want to encounter them. It's not they hack or whatever, it's just that connecting from so far away will lead to bad connection.

I think Xbox is best (reason above is good, they have terrible connection to us), PS is just as good, but you already have the xbox version. PC sucks, and it sucked the love out for Dark Souls for me.

I had a friend who claimed he played with a friend of us, cross platform. I'm not lying, but he may have been wrong. Nothing online works well on PC, so I couldn't test for sure, but he said he did it before.

What if the hackers got smart, and hacked just enough to have a bit more life, a bit more damage, a bit more defense, faster stamina recovery, higher equip burden so they can fast roll when normally they would be a few pounds over, and a bit more poise to hit that next break point. So that you don't notice .
