Unintentional attempted kill

arghhh.. I've attacked the Solaire of Astora by mistake and now he tries to kill me every time he see's me -- is there any other place i can get hold of a White Sign Soapstone?
Anyone any ideas please

There is a guy in black clothes that appear in the bell tower right after you beat the bell gargoyles, he can absolve your sins for a amount of souls. This will make Solaire your friend again

This may be harder but, if you beat the boss in the belltower at the bottom after the bell has rung is a guy that will cleanse you of sin and Solaire will become friendly again. That's your only way right now, only other option is going into NG+.

Yeah... sucks, but like knight and carphil said, you need to get your sins absolved.

- Go to Undead Parish, kill the Bell Gargoyles boss
- Go up the ladder, ring the bell, come back down (don't use the homeward bone yet)
- Speak to the arrogant guy at the bottom of the ladder, he'll offer to absolve your sins
- Pay the man, your "sins are absolved" (any NPCs you aggroed but did not kill will be friendly again)
- Go see Solaire again.

Re-roll a new character. Take you like 30 minutes to get to the point you are at now. It goes so much faster each playthrough...

Those sunlight guys are always up to no good. He made a fast move and had to pay...

He is a big help against the executioner and the dragonslayer later on so you will want to sort this out.

Thanks guys, Luckily i am at the point of having to kill the bell tower gargoyle. I have the gargoyle axe already and at +4. What makes me laugh is that you all say luckily its early in the game!!! hahah its taken me ages to get this far and i thought i was motoring through lol.

Cheers again - any idea how many souls i'd need i dont want to come to the point of paying the guy and find out i dont have enough souls. sods law and all that...

i think he drops it if you kill him at that point (don't have it yet) as well

To absolve your sins, I believe you have to pay your Soul Level * 500

OMG - where the hell am i going to get 12,000 souls !!!!! I knew they'd be a catch.
At the least the Gargoyles should drop a few.

Be thankful really, before it was SL times 2000 souls... It got stupidly high. Just be paitent and take your time with it ^^

You may need to use Sol for the gargs to be available later. The extra sunlight medal doesn't hurt either.

DONE IT !!!!
Cost me 15,000 souls but the Gargoyles dropped about 10,000 i think.
now to the depths - here i come........
