So I just put my 2 week notice in at my job. I'm not shaving again until I have a great big bushy beard. You try to tell a man what he can and can't do with his own face, and I think you'll find pretty quickly that you've created a man who doesn't like you very much.

Well that's not the reason I'm leaving the job. I'm leaving because I just don't have time to worry about a crappy college job during my last semester. Because I'm trying to graduate in May, I have to take a bunch of really difficult classes at the same time in order to complete the requirements for my major, so I'm just going to be too busy. It is, however, the reason I don't like him. I can see asking someone to keep their facial hair well groomed, especially if they're going to be making people's food, but having to shave it entirely is a little dumb. I don't even think it's about not getting hair in food, because people there are allowed to have long hair without having to wear hairnets. I think he just thinks facial hair looks bad. It's all pretty dumb, and I'm glad to be rid of it soon.

Those on-campus jobs pay for **** anyway. Don't worry about it, the degree is far more important.

It's not a campus job. I just meant the kind of crappy job generally available to you when you're a college student. It also doesn't pay very well though. That's how I feel about it too. I felt a little bad leaving, when I know some of my coworkers are going to get the shaft trying to pick up the extra hours, but it's a question of priorities, and I think I'm making the right choice.

I'm already late on 3 homework assignments and it's only the second week of school, because I've been getting up at 7:30 and going to school every morning, getting out around 2, then going to work at 3 until around 1:30 in the morning. With a schedule like that, by the time I get out I'm just too exhausted to worry about anything other than sleep.

Either way, you're coming up to the end now. Better to focus on that now, you'll have all the time in the world to look for another job after you take care of all this school business.

Yup. Hopefully an infinitely better job at that. I've been trying really hard to bring my GPA up enough to graduate with honors, and I'm about .2 points away from it right now. So if I can manage all A's again this semester I'll definitely pull it off. I just have to take it as seriously as I can.

How are unemployment rates where you are Plastic?

I dunno. I'm not going on unenjoyment. I think you're only eligible if you're laid off anyway. I'm just going to live off my academic scholarships until I'm done and can start working again.

Just wondering because...and I really hate to say this but where I am...a master can only barely get you far. I learned from my mother that if you have bad credit (not anymore), your employment is limited and you CAN be overqualifed.

If I go two weeks straight without shaving I will likely grow a beard.

I can't grow a beard. It saddens me.

I used to have terribly slow beard growth until recently, now I have a decent scruff within 3 days.

On the topic of jobs, I can't get hired for lack of experience and I'm quickly approaching that age where they won't hire me here because I have no experience and they're legally required to pay the full minimum wage.

I kinda wish I were you. I saw what three weeks do to me and all I can say is this: Had I grown 2 more inches with a deeper voice I could probally go and buy a beer.

On jobs yeah I need think of something while I'm working to my career goals. Though anything is going to be a pain for me since my food disorder might cripple me in job world. Reason why I can't join the armed forces.
