    Armor: Gender Empty Armor: Gender

Post by tinypantha Tue Jan 01, 2013 1:12 am

Not wanting to sound like a pervy "gentleman" but:

Armor needs SLIGHT adjustments for gender. Not Skyrim like where women are battle sluts with corsets and iron panties but lets say for the black iron set the females is SLIGHTLY tapered or fitted. Also the painting set for males could of been shaggier and less fitted. Opinions?

EDIT: armor appearance not gender only

I'm kinda with ya. I liked how they did armor (mostly) unisex this time around, but some of them could have been improved upon. Antiquated Dress is an obvious one that could have immensely benefitted from a distinct male/female seperate look. A male version that could have been closely resembled to False King Allant's armor would have been pretty cool. Then again, maybe that it was Dusk's dress was the whole point that it was strictly feminine.

Well, i got completely off the point here. Anyways, i agree with ya! lol

i would love it if it was like demon's souls so tha males could not wear the dingy or any female armor and females could not wear the male armors like the iron set, of course they would have their own version of those armors and about the same res, for exaple the female armors have more elemental ress and the male armors have more phys res, just throwing it out there.

Well, i like that you can wear it if you really want (the Dingy and the Antiquated), but it should look different for males and females. I may happen to like the high Magic D that Antiquated provides, but refuse to wear it for a male char. I think the stats should stay the same for all, but that's just my opinion.

Seconded here! I loved the way that armor looked, and was extremely bummed that we never got to try it out in DeS!

Not gender only again, please, i think it's a shame that in Demon's I can't wear some armor, like the rogue's set or the blinded one, wich can look good also on males

Make it like in Demon's Souls so men get the objectively best armor in the game, but it is also objectively the worst looking. That way when I invade somebody and they don't have that armor I know they're just some scrub not worth my time and I can black crystal out.

I'd be fine with the look of some armors being gender specific, notably dresses and the like.

But I would throw a huge fit if they brought back gender specific armor, then made one of them the best hands down.

I wouldn't like it if armors were gender specific. It would remove some of the options.

If i want my male to be a cross-dressing badass then i can make him that i DkS (if i ever were to actually use armor that is).

I'm all for changing the looks on each set piece depending on gender, but gender specific armor is a big no-no. It limits what you have to work with soooo much x_X.

I'm pretty sure you mean how the thief set works currently. I'd like it if all armor sets had those small variations between male and female.

Hold on a moment. Tiny did you mean armor of the same type that has notable changes between genders instead of being unisex?

i suggested armor change when worn by female or male

    male- armor is bulky

female- armor more fitted not battle slut fitted but less baloony like the black iron leggings

Changing the texture and model for the mantiquity on males would change that but still the manitiquity should look silly because it looks overly prim and proper on females.

I would be all for it. I mean, certain "Female" armors don't need it (Gold Hemmed Set makes a dude look like a Ring Wraith big grin) , but they really do need to Pyro Coat and Theif Vest ALL the armors in DkSII

A good Idea on my opinion is like what they did with the Tattered robes (pyros) change legs of cloth armor from pants to a dress-ish for females and from dress to pants for males? but armored leggings and things with Leggings in the name should maybe get a Short cloth draping like with the silver knight leggings' Chain skirt thingy, or they could stay just leggings with no add-ons.

I would like both gender specific armor, and different styles between genders, as long as the armor isn't way better than anything the other gender can wear and the different style isn't absurd.
