Have you beaten the Taurus Demon yet, or did you skip past the Burg to the Gargoyles? Because to my experience, Solaire won't appear until the Taurus Demon is actually defeated.

More useful information: I once summoned Solaire before Ornstein and Smough, but before I entered the fog, I used the Black Crystal to send him back because he was low on health anyway. Then I thought, maybe I should summon him again, he will probably have full HP. But his yellow signature was not there. So I ran to the bonfire, where his real form sits, and he wasn't there either. The signature and the NPC form both came back after I died once.

I always skip Taurus to have Burg for PvP. Solaire won't be at his usual spot when you get there, but he will appear if you reload and everything works well and peachy from there.

I didn't know about reloading, since I usually try to save Solaire on NG and don't worry about saving bosses for pvp until NG+ or higher (need so many copies of spells)

I'm having trouble in Undead Burg, NG(7) fresh, because at SL 200 I get constantly invaded and I only have base weapons.
I have to keep quitting my game because I have limited humanity. I need to be human because Taurus Demon is too hard and I want help.
Once I get to the blacksmith and upgrade some stuff, I'll be fine. Next time I begin a "fresh start" character, I'm going for the Master Key.
