Books you wanna see made into movies
i was realy dissapointed when the ringworld movie that was suppposed to be made into a movie by sstudio ghibli didnt happen. im still hopeful that it gets made eventually. theres a bunch that i want to see made into movies but ringworld is the one i really want, honorable mention goes to the strain trilogy which im sure Del Toro will get around to making. what about you guys?

This, I don't like movies in the first place.
Now if they made more Sherlock Holmes movies out of books I haven't read then I wouldn't mind.

A proper version of the Relic.
None of this, first death being a cop on the toilet.
No, keep the first death scene from the book, two little boys being torn to shreds and splayed about the floor with bile and guts thrown about, with some poor janitor discovering them.
I want that movie to be hardcore.
...Maybe not keep the book ending though...That was lame as hell.

Ummm, I would like them to re-do The Golden Compass and His Dark Materials trilogy.
You need to watch the BBC One series if you haven't already. It is so much better than the Robert Downey Jr. movies. Unff, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman...

I would like to see some children's movies get remade into the original stories.
For example:
Cinderella, complete with bird NARCing and stepsister foot mutilation
Wizard of Oz, somehow they forgot the part where some main characters were dropped onto jagged rocks (they get better but that's way better than the movie version)
Maybe a Grimm's Fairy Tales compilation kind of like the old Creepshow movies would work best.

Or of course I could give into my love.
Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, with all the execution, brutality, and force goodness.
Even more difficult to pull off, the Thrawn Trilogy.
Seeing Grand Admiral Thrawn on screen outwitting an entire galaxy would be excellent to see.

This.

It's a shame, because I love the trilogy....
I'm not sure how likely they will attempt it again. Maybe once everybody forgets how much of a flop that movie was.
Oh! I just thought of another book I want made into a movie: The Fault in our Stars. After seeing the movie adaptation for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I think this would work out well. I only wish I could go back in time and cast a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Augustus Waters.

Re: Books you wanna see made into movies
I don't know if I'd like this to be a movie, but rather 4 seasons of a show on HBO or showtime.
The Hyperion series...
Hyperion
The Fall of Hyperion
Endymion
The Rise of Endymion
Probably my favorite sci-fi book series ever. If you haven't read these books I HIGHLY recommend them if you like sci-fi

I'd want to see some 40k books get some love. Eisenhorm or Ravenor would be amazing movies.

That would make a good movie. It's a shame most of King's film adaptations have not been that great. There are definitely a few exceptions, the Shining, Stand by Me, etc, but most are garbage.
@ Dough: No, I haven't. I stumbled onto a video of someone playing Maniac Mansion a few months ago, and I went out and found a bunch of the old SCUMM greats from my childhood. I Have No Mouth was just one of many. I haven't gotten a chance to play for more than a couple hours yet, but I plan to.

Re: Books you wanna see made into movies
I would want to see a movie adaptation of the first three books of the shannara series.
Those would be movies I would love to see.
^I've seen a review of it. Killer meatballs eating up every second of time that has already passed by? That's just plain stupid.

I know they're pretty simplistic books, but I'd kind of like to see the Artemis Fowl series on screen.

Re: Books you wanna see made into movies
Those would be interesting movies to watch, I remember reading the books quite a few years back. Might need to find them at the local library and read them.
