500 Defense Monster

LMAO. This is the most powerful build I've ever seen. I already tried 500 defense with full giants but I like hitting 93 poise. Look at the 528 slash defense. Katanas will only tickle this build. I think this thing can survive at least 3 bs without HR lol. And it's also using the Halberd at almost max AR 2 handed. Ever being poked to death by a Halberd???? You'll desperately try to stunlock this baby, roll bs, pivot bs, parry, dead angle even spell spam and he'll just laugh at you while spamming R1.

I still see spell spamming as a problem for this build and I dunno about you, but if I see any polearm, it's SKS time.

Even though...it would be one hell of a pain to fight that build.
I'm gratefull that only 1/100 DkS players have ideas like this, or I would be in some serious trouble by now.

He can always use the Bloodshield instead of Grass Crest Shield.

I have 236 on my dex build and i still bleed out in two Gold Tracer attacks.

I have around 220 and it takes me much more. Over 200 is plenty.

Builds like that are really scary to fight. Mid-rollers that know what they're doing scare me.

Or, i could just poison you and laugh at you when you try to come closer to me . Stay close enough to punish you if you try to heal but not so close that i can't dodge your attacks. Then just poison you again when the first one runs out.

Just kidding. But this build does have some weaknesses. For example, what are you gonna do against pyro/sorcery? you mid roll, and your shield isn't great against either of those. Pyros could spam fireball at you from a distance (and they're going to hit if it's a decent pyro user), same goes for sorceries, except they have DB spam and homing spells.

EDIT. But yeah, the build is very powerful, i can't deny that. This is also why i don't like sl 120 PvP anymore. You shouldn't be able to have a tank with good defense, high health and high damage IMO.

I don't really care about the intricacies. This needs to be done.

He can switch shield to Black Knight's to deal with Pyros.
Sorcery is a bit of a problem though...Crest Won't block much, especially if they use Pursuers and/or DB. Stone Greatshield would help there.

Iron flesh with this build should happen.

It's actually become more common recently to poise up and use an R1 spam stunlock weapon. At least you're not rolling with the Gold Tracer like most of the bozos that try this kind of build. I have seen a lot of people in Havel's with a Halberd though, mostly it's just elemental builds.

i've done this with full giants and a scythe halberd... i also tried using the blue tear stone ring with it... if it had more hp the 750 defense it got at 20% hp woulkd actually be viable, say... does iron flesh and bltsr stack?

any idea how much defense iron flesh gives? cause btsr + 500 def = 750, so would iron flesh make the defense like 2000?

Iron flesh damage reduction depends on the weapon, but it seems to greatly effect slash damage, much more than normal damage. Rather than adding defense points, I think it's an invisible reduction on damage.

So swapping BTSR mid fight when low on HP. LOL nice idea sparkly.

You might want to use the Cloranthy ring at the cost of the extra defense lost. Your stamina regen will be pretty abyssmal even with the GCS in all heavy armor.

Cloranthy Ring is a waste unless all the stamina regen items are equipped. I can manage fine with green blossoms, now only my heavy armor/2 handed focused builds use GCS.

Cloranthy makes the biggest difference out of all the items except maybe grass. It's actually a useful choice for a heavy build that will take more than 5 seconds to regen all its stamina.
