Book of The Guilty Hacked!!!

What happened to the Book of the Guilty? And why isnt From Software protecting its community from this outrage?!?

What do you mean by hacked, as in the leaderboards themselves have been hacked or simply that there are hackers with impossibly high sin?

Its been hacked because some kids think they are being cool. Why From isn't putting them in their place i don't know, but don't worry, things will get better soon, and if they dont, Dark souls 2 is on the way!

Hackers with impossibly high sin. 60000 appears to be the limit :/

I believe they mean that the leaderboards are hacked because of how high some of the players are on the list.

Either hacking or using friends to keep indicting you. It's a real shame. And some think that their cool by blacklisting people as Dark Souls "cheaters" when they themselves are hacking too.

It seems as if either From or the playerbase is trying to do something about it. I normally don't see people with hacked stats/sin on the leaderboards for more than a week or two at a time.

I'll admit that From has been slacking, though.

Hopefully there lax response is because they're working so hard on DkS II!

I have to agree though it is frustrating to have the top 500 or so players be nothing but hackers. X is right though they're hardly ever around for very long. Just remember to report people whenever you see someone hacking.

It would also seem like players would make an effort to bump these fools off. Either microsoft isn't responding or people are making the mistake of filing complaints more than once. Either way however, all the evidence is literally in your face since Number one on the xbox 360 is a floating head. Its rather disturbing.

I got to now how this got started? I can see this happening by a certain fps, but not here.

I'm honestly not sure, but I'm sure it had something to do with people telling others about how to get the elite cleric set and then people suddenly realizing there were evils within said process. You can understand why explaining how to hack is banned from the forums. Nobody wants to have that s*** spread around it's frustrating. I wouldn't mind hackers if they only got unobtainable armor or made themselves a floating head, but it is always the same: make self invisible, unlimited health, unlimited poise, unlimited endurance, 99 stats, and a "Well what is it?" :x

It gets real annoying to deal with those people. I tried talking to some but the normal thing was "Well that's how you play the you NOOB!" or "I get sick of invaders like you.". However I did see two weird cases, the first was one who said it was to "Put you hardcore gamers in your place." which struck me that this guy was losing a lot and I couldn't get anything more. The second one which I forgot was from guy doing it to troll people

***** straight up said in his bio that the cheaters are coming out to play. And also trash talked From Software on how they couldn't protect their games. It angered me at first but im starting to wonder if he had a point? Where are they and why aren't they bumping these guys off??? :/

Edit: I'm sure it this has a lot to do with DkS not having dedicated servers. Otherwise, From would know right away who is doing what.

I met one who said he only wanted to fight people with no one dying. He invades with modded health and BC's out when you get to low health. I asked him about it and we're friends now. Interesting guy.

I'd watch out Samurai, there are some bad people on the interwebz claiming to be "children."

It was me! Indeed he did. I was afk for a bit, and when i came back i had NO souls and he was in my recent players. At first i thought i may have died, but i killed all the clams before i left the controller, and if i died i would have been at the forest bonfire as well.

You guys should also be wary of using players' gamertags on the forums. They may be hackers, but it's against the forum rules to slander one's name. We can only do what we can over XBL by reporting them.

Grade A ***es, to steal souls from people. Hey X didn't tiny once told about a hacker going invisible to bring justice to hackers in the forest? Has that been rising to?

Also Diehard if that is what you really look like, I knew you were not 26. Part of my law enforcement studies has me determining ages from facial features.
