ps4 unofficial, but official tease released. Will Dark 2 be on it?

I'm to lazy to bother with a link. But wanted to bring to light, the new teaser sony released. Its off...well, nothing really. But everyone is on the same page assuming it is the ps4. So...feb 20 can't come soon enough.

I'm wondering, if this will be on ps4 or ps3...anyone have any insight. I'm at work and i'll research later. But wanted to pitch this out there is all.

Also...not sure this is the right place for this anymore. I am curious to see if dks 2 will be out before the ps4...but we won't have a date to work with till the 20th, at best. So....may have jumped the gun on this question/discussion.

From what I've read on euro gamer, they are saying ps4 at the end of the year in Japan and USA, march for Europe. But until we see the announcement it's just people guessing.

I'd be really surprised if it released this year. Usually the launch date is in the year after the official announcement, to give proper time for distribution, marketing, etc. But I don't really mind whether it's 2013 or 2014, and whether Dark Souls II is PS3 or PS4.

they already announced the game for 360 and ps3 so i want to go with this lol BUT IF the ps4 and next gen xbox come out i'm sure they will either be backwards compatable OR the game will also release for those consoles as well

Now I think about it... it doesn't make many sense that they make Dark Souls II for PS3 if PS4 was gonna be announced after some time... unless... Miyazaki's new mysterious project is a Souls game for the PS4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I want PS4-PS3 backwards compatibility, there's a pretty high chance it won't happen. Rumor has it that Sony will be switching to a different computing architecture (AMD instead of nvidia), which if true would make backwards compatibility more challenging than Sony probably cares about.

Well, since DkS has been out since 2011 They've already had a year in production for DkS2, which I would imagine be on what they had readily available...that being 360, ps3, PC.

I can honestly say that if it released on the next gens I'd probably just stop playing games all together...gaming USED to be fun, and full of freedom...but all the talk about DRMs and nonCompatibility and such, I don't think it'd even be worth it.

Well. Backwards compatibility is soon to be a thing of the past, as will be buying a used game i fear. But thats all a different topic. But i understand that its relevant somewhat here too.

Considering the idea they have been working on the dark souls 2 NOW, with current gen in mind i imagine it WON'T be. Now that i've read and thought about it. But i'm ok with that. Just more room to hope and pray for demons souls true sequel to be on ps4.
