I have an over-leveling addiction :(

This always happens to me: I decide on a build... and then I put points into stats that I wasn't supposed to, I can't help it. Today I was participating in the Forest event, and I got enough souls to bump me from 127 to 143. The problem? I bumped END to 43 when I was supposed to leave it at 40, and all because I wanted to fast roll with the Manus Catalyst. I didn't even end up using the thing Look Skyward

Luckily I'm going for a 225 level cap anyway, but I'm going to miss those extra points in health sad

Though it appears I was mistaken about the actual level. Dex is either 45 or 40, I can't remember right now, but all the other stats are right.

Edit: Or maybe dex is 40, and I raised my Vit to 32

Well you still have Faith at minimum and Str at 28 so you still haven't messed up. If I were you I would get as much End as possible for letting me fast roll with good armor, or even get max Vit. You don't the Faith in my opinion.

I use sunlight blade as my main buff,I dislike the way CMW looks and most gankers carry GMB anyway :evil:, so 30 faith is the minimum.

About strength, I could leave it at 28. I only wanted it at 50 so I could play around with most of the heavier weapons.

Arty Sword is awesome at high SL's. Instead of deleting my very first toon, I decided to continue leveling him and make him an Arty Sword toon. I'm nearing SL200 now, with nearly 40's across the board in it's scalable stats, and I've been nearly 1HKOing people with 2h R1's. Sometimes right through their shields.

I had a Sl 313 toon and the Abyss Sword always did more damage, only thing it had going for it was chip damage.

Abyss+3 with 519 Ar = 342dmg
Abyss+4 with 526 Ar = 349dmg
Abyss+5 with 534 Ar = 356dmg
Abyss+6 with 541 Ar = 363dmg
Abyss+7 with 549 Ar = 370dmg
Abyss+8 with 556 Ar = 377dmg
Abyss+9 with 563 Ar = 383dmg
Abyss+10 with 571 Ar = 390dmg

Abyss has a slightly better move-set too...

I hate the Abyss GS's moveset. I tried to like it, but I really don't at all. Obviously the TGSoA does varying damage depending on the magic defenses of the enemies you're fighting, generally if I'm fighting something with super high magic defense I fire up my DSS, which incidentally has great interchangeability with a toon set up for the Arty Swords. Anyway though, the Arty Swords are quick and have amazingly good range for great swords, along with pretty good phantom reach in PvP, the true does more than just chip damage depending on magic defense and your own stats, it's R2's are among the most satisfying in the game to hit people with IMO, and they can infinite stunlock.

Of course they're trash with any toon that isn't set up specifically for using them, but my one toon that is cleans up. You're entitled to not like it, but with all that going for it, it's difficult to just say it's downright bad.

I'd still rather use the cursed variant... or the GLGS for that matter. I tried to use it, but the sword simply did not lift. Though I might stick with 44 faith, if only for the DSS....

The DSS has been impressing the hell out of me with that toon. It does amazing damage with the right stats to back it up, crazy reach, and it's 2h R2 combo is hilarious when you manage to land it on somebody. Makes people really angry

I didn't even know it had that second attack for the longest time. I always just assumed it was only that 2 handed poke, which really isn't impressive at all by itself.

Thanks. Have to make one as I just beat O&S and wanted Smough's hammer, but as I was hammering away at Ornstein, my 2 phantoms kept attacking Smough. Shoulda suicided but ... Did not. ( usually I attack whomever the host is attacking. WTF was wrong with those phantoms?)

On topic. Me too. Last toon into the DLC. Was sl55 when she arrived ( said I wasn't gonna level her up...but. She now sits at sl74.). Sometimes I wish there was a boss ( like DS ) that could Soulsuck.
