We have found Dark Soul's Exclusive PvP arena! (hint: Think Wolf)

I posted this at the Demon Souls forum because it was my friend's idea to try this out:

Ahh since you were in a quest you thought it was a glitch? Or just did not think about the PvP possibilities?

no, pvp didn't cross my mind as i was trying to close off the forest and i really didn't feel like fighting a min/max wraith.... thetre is one caveat to that area though, the host must avoid the center of the area other wise he may accidentally trigger sif...

Its too big and dull for pvp which is why i dont like it... But to each their own.

I thought maybe you found a way to invade there after the death of Sif or something, like an interesting trick. I too have known about this, it's just not really an interesting area to fight in if you ask me.

i think its awesome that youre using a mace and a heavy crossbow, i though i was the only one that use those in pvp, did you really have to go for the pivot bs though? lame.

Well true some people don't find this area appealing the but the appeal is that once you are inside you don't get constant unwanted invasions.

Ahh im not the mace user thats my friend who suggested we try this.

... That's sad. No one likes Lost Izalith. It's not too big, and not too small. It is a good PvP place (I mean Izalith itself, not the blinding lava lake).

I always knew about it. It is cool, it truly is. As long as you do not got near the sword, you are fine.

Well, what would separate this from the other is if you can control the invasions. If you can then honorable pvp can be held.


Look I stood inside the arena for a long time no invasions. I went out and got invaded right away. At the moment there are three dark spirits in the arena.

So I am quite convinced that this would work for organized PvP

never had any problems with invaders in blighttown for FC. I think 5 in 10+ hours and then the fc members would deal to them(never seen a FC member lose to those invaders)

Not trying to take anything away from your find as im sure lots of ppl didnt know or think about it.

Yea I know I just hear in other places people wanting an arena for PvP where you don't have to deal with invasions. So I thought this would be the answer. Blighttown is the new PvP area for that reason that you mention.

You just have to be careful to not go to Sif's sword. Other than that, it seems cool.

I've done this on PS3.

I actually love the atmosphere and the open space. If you ask me, the blighttown arena is too small. The burg arena is also too small. Sif's graveyard is nice and big, with swords and stuff jammed into the ground. The phantoms also don't need to worry about activating Sif as long as the host stays on the sideline.

You're wrong, however, that you won't get random invasions. You might not get forest hunter invasions (not sure about that), but you do get darkwraith invasions. I know this because I was the darkwraith invader (at least the first time)!

Yeah, I knew about that cause I invaded as a Darkwraith and after searching fir the host I finally found him there with 2 other red phantoms.

Agree with the fact that Blighttown's arena is too small, I mean... c'mon, impossible to play with a bow build there for example, and some other builds are at their disadvantage there.

There's a lot of better places like the area in Sen where there's the giant who opens the fortress.

I also like the area very much for the same reasons. I was hosting and I ran up to the head stnone that's in front of sword and did activate sif.

About random invations. I can tell you my experience last night was no invasions while in Sif's arena and only invaded outside. If you can, try to duplicate this.

Further proof of this. I had my friend put down the RSS down outside by the bridge. I see the sign, then with out summoning him I walk back into Sif's area and the sign disappears. My understanding is that you can only be invaded in an area where you can put down your sign.

Can't put a RSS or WSS inside Sif's arena.

You invaded the host while he was outside no doubt. He ran into Sif's area but if he had been inside you would have invaded someone else.

I like the area of Sen's you speak of because when you are summoned you spawn right in front of the ladder
