Has anyone seen vagrants?

Has anyone actually encountered one?

I have not seen anything like that i've been roaming all areas from Firelink to Darkroot and Duke's Archive, I haven't seen any vagrant yet.

The only reason I ask is because I hear they are a source of Humanity other than Rats, and other consumables like Divine Blessing.

I've only ever seen one standing right in front of the sunbro altar. I considered it a sign from some higher being. It either meant to become a sunbro and devote my life to helping others, or to do the opposite and kill everyone and everything. Guess which one I chose?

If you want humanity, the best way to farm it is killing the rats in the Depths.

PS: I'm pretty sure Vagrants never drop Divine Blessings, Divine Blessings are unique items, and you can get only like 7 per playthrough.

I've seen multiples. Don't go around looking for them, that's a one-way ticket to madness. If they show up, they show up - they're rare but they're ultimately nothing special.

Don't worry about it too much.

Vagrants are incredibly rare and cannot be relied on for gaining their items. Like WhatDoesThePendantDo? said, if they show up, they show up. But never expect it nor plan on it.

To obtain humanity in item form, farm the rats (depths), pisacas (duke's archives prison), baby skeletons (tomb of the giants), or the humanity phantoms (chasm of the abyss).

There is more detailed information on the vagrants' drops here. Their drops are nothing special.

It may be possible for a good vagrant to drop a Divine Blessing, but I haven't seen any evidence of it. The good vagrants drop various items (not humanity or twin humanity, like the evil vagrants), but there is VERY* little documentation of good vagrants and we probably don't know of all their possible drops.

*I'm not exaggerating when I say there is literally only one video I've been able to find of a good vagrant being killed. And fewer than 5 screenshots of them, at least that I've found.

They normally drop twin humanities, but don't try to farm those from vagrants. That's the second quickest way for someone to go hollow in Dark Souls.

Just got to that bonfire last week and stood up , only to have a vagrant coming at me from the direction of the sunbro alter. Seen one vagrant, same place on several chars venture into the Undead Parish, next to the wall, near the firekeepers soul. ( where the merchant appears later).
Seen several in Anor Londo on the flat area, where you drop out the window to get the Dragonslayer Bow ( my own games and during co- op). Also during co- op sessions, seen several in the Forest ( I'm always full on the moss, so I leave a lot of sacks when in the forest. Prob not the only one.)

Always easy to kill, except one time.

2 - one at Kiln right before third BK, one at parish very close to Reah

killed both pretty fast, they were red, attacked me on sight and dropped humanity

Yeah. I came across one in the Oolacile forest, near the second crystal lizard. It dropped a twin humanities.
When I was farming chunks at the kiln, I kept dropping piles of BK weapons and walked back instead of warping. I was hoping to create vagrants for other people because there is unconfirmed information that they are more likely to spawn/grow stronger the longer they (or the item) is left alone. Of course, I don't know if I ever actually did make any.

PSSST! I once got a divine blessing from a black good vagrant!

I also just got recent confirmation of the red, good vagrant dropping a divine blessing.

I've only ever seen one vagrant and at the time I had no idea that was what it was. Just was headig to fight Gywn and saw it and wondered what the heck it was. It killed itself though by running off the edge before I got close to it.

Good vagrants run.
