Duel's and such

Hey y'all. I'm not that all new to Dark Souls and Invading, but I am a bit of a noob when it comes to set-up duels and such. I'm on xbox and I saw the Ceaseless Discharge event and now the Path of The Dragon. How regularly do these happen? I havn't looked yet but I assume it's dragon form vs dragon form. Is there a consistent place where I can get in on duels for 360? I've heard that dueling is all but dead on xbox. I've tried the Kiln but 99% of the time it's gankers looking to boycott the designated "Fair" PvP area. Undead burg I had a much similiar experience. I also like to keep my SL low. This time i'm going for SL 49 so I can do the Arena as well. Grim Reaper build, sexy. I would assume that most of these events happen on PC because that is the "Dominant" platform. Advice? Ideas? Snarky comments:?:

Those events have been happening every month. If duelling is dead, then you should try invading.

I have been. But I don't want to be restricted to invading. But I have looked at the Path of The Drago, and I say, SIGN ME UP

Pretty sure the majority of players, both here and in game are ps3, and event participation trends towards more ps3 participants

Don't expect duels, ever. The moonlight butterfly forest was decent, last i was there, but the gankers may have moved in (it basicaly necessitates one be in NG+, which is more effort than many gankers want to put in last i checked)

PS3 is the dominant platform because of Demon's Souls veterans, but we have lots of xbox players as well. Actually PC is pretty inactive atm.

I bought a PS3, just to play Demon's Souls. But i'm an xbox guy at heart, so I'll stick with it. Hey, who knows, maybe i'll start a fight club :idea:

I posted on another thread similar to this one that one good way to get exciting duels is to invade then organize a duel with the host via messages.

Its less predictable then the regular dueling method which I like, but its a little slower depending on how you invade.

I recommend you be SL120 and go to areas that are typically reserved for questing. Be sure to invade as close to the boss door as possible so that the host cannot simply run away. For example if your invading in Blight, invade right in front of the fog gate. Same goes for pretty much every other questing region.

If you do this in the Tomb please be courteous and let the host know your intentions because a lot of people in the tomb are not their for pvp.

But that's the thing. I think SL120 gives you too much leeway with builds. Like BS fishers in full havels. I like SL50 because if you're heavy, you stay heavy, there's not enough room to do light with that amount of levels. And if you do manage to go full armour and fast roll, you have minimal room in your stats for anything else. I like SL50 best because it's more player based in my opinion, and less on the equipment you have.

My point was not that you be SL120, its just that 120 is the agreed upon pvp range so you'll get the most fights at that level.

My point was that you invade and then duel rather then wait to be summoned. If you are waiting to be summoned then the host is in control of whether or not yall fight. If you invade YOU are the one with most of the power, YOU decide whether or not the fight happens.

If your gonna do a low level then 55 is actually better than 50 because alot of the events are set up for SL55 builds.

The burg is the only place I've been able to invade and duel.The problem is even it has gankers.It almost makes me want to get a lagswitch just so I can have enough time to black crystal.Doesn't the dragon covenant invasion only work on lone hosts?

Id enjoy a fight club on the xbox as well. If you, Dutchy, start a fight club id like to join/help

Yeah maybe. I'm downloading DS onto my xbox to solve my broken disc drive problem. (Because the only game I play IS DS) So maybe, but i've already got so much stuff going on like study, a covenant, helping out other members, having fun. I really don't think I can slot it in
