Moonlight Butterfly May Be A Woman

There was something I noticed when i saw this picture of the Moonlight Butterfly. When it's body is spread out like that i can almost make out the figure of a woman in a dress. It says in an item description that the butterflies are a result of Seath's experiments.

Considering that Seath both kidnaps women for these experiments, and mutates them (Evidenced by those squid beasts in the Duke's Archives) are the butterflies the same?

Time to go peeping at Moonlight Butterflies then.

It has a freaking horrible face, tits, and what looks like really long legs

Seems like the lower area of the torso was torn apart and broken into the threads, the arms have been transformed into the butterfly's smaller wings. The face...two ideas but only one I can explain right. The face has been transformed and possibly mutated with some extension to compose it's larger wings. As for the horn and....thing it may be what Seath used to transform the body through experimental crystal magic as a catalyst attached behind the head.

Nice observation there dude, I especially like the theory about the horn.
But really this is just a theory, I could be wrong.

Well, at the very least we might have another piece of the puzzle regarding how Logan might have gone bonkers.

This seems plausible mainly because of your connection to the butterfly and the Seath(what can't that delusional dragon do?).

The fact that the only areas that they are located in are the areas that have been affected by his experiments would also point out that they were at one point women.

I also heard that Miyazaki was a fan of the manga "Berserk". After hearing
that i decided to give it a read. In Berserk there is a character named
Rosine, who because of her abusive treatment by her home rejects humanity and runs off into a magical forest.

There, through dark magic she becomes an insectoid moth-like fairy. Who turns the other abused children into bug-like fairies as well.
