I've played DemonS with my friend computer this week end and when I was about to kill a BP, near his death, the sub woofer made a hearth beat. I never realize that and wonder if it's the same in DarkS. That's pretty awesome to hear.

Turns out that if you use lock on so the burg bridge with the firebombers, it locks on them instead of theholliws you should be fighting

If you stand in front of Havel but don't attack and don't move, he won't either.
Happened a couple of minutes ago as i was toying with Havel. 20 minutes of staring contest with Havel.

The "heatbeat" you heard in Demon's Souls was probably the audio clue that you caused bleed damage.

There's a vagrant by where the beatrice summon is in new londo, b*st*rd almost got me as i parried the wraith.

    So so far, spotted

1 on the steps to the crossbow dude in the small keep in the undead burg just before the black knight.

Undead parish by the firekeeper soul.

Blighttown, by the 2nd set of wooden towers. Bumped into this dude twice.

Anor londo, top of the cathederal on the beams.

Dukes Archives, left bookshelf looking from bonfire.

New londo, by breatrices summon sign,.

Yesterday i found out that the NPC mostly known by "Oscar of Astora" wields "Astora's Straight Sword". I always wondered why some of his attacks got through my shield partially...

Oscar actually wields the Claymore. Lore-wise, perhaps he 'abandoned' it after acquiring the Claymore? But i honestly think it belonged to some other knight of Astora.

On topic, apparently you can't attack with other weapons if you are still 'spamming' Fire Surge. I though i could use Fire Surge to lure the opponent to a direction and hit him with the OBGS's 1hr2. =/

No, he definitely wields the Astora's Straightsword. Judging by the length, the design of it, the moveset and the chip damage he causes with the weapon, it's an Astora's Straightsword

Same. Claymore is pure physical and much shorter. Given that oscar is a knight by the looks of it, and that the embers are all without smiths at the moment, the only options would be an int or faith weapon that looks like a straightsword, astora's straight sword is much more likely, since oscar would be using spells if he had an int and is from astora, which is a fairly faithful(?) country.

I don't understand why people think he uses Claymore, but it's most likely because 3/4 of the Dark Souls community wears Elite Knight armor with Claymore.
Either way, you can tell it's Astora's Straightsword for a number of reasons:
It has split damage, hitting with Magic and Physical
The sword looks like a slightly stained version of the Longsword
The hilt is out, not concave.

maybe it's because the two foresthunterguys that actually use a claymore. As for oscar you can also take a look at the scabbard.

Especially when you have no other defenses, e.g. going in dragonform.
