Game freezing ALL THE TIME.

My problems started around the beginning of January, when my game just randomly froze on a loading screen. Since then, my game has been freezing up at least twice a day, sometimes within a half hour of each other. A couple weeks ago I decided to install the game to my 360's HD. Installing it makes it so the disk only has to spin on start up. I figured it wouldn't be able to freeze if there was no disk to read, but that didn't work. I should also mention that 99% of the time it is on a loading screen either before or after an invasion. Once or twice it has been when I warped, but once or twice in a billion freezes is not an issue.

Any thoughts or solutions my fellow Dark Souls brethren?

I start hosting more often and take a break from invading for a day or two. After that I'm able to invade as often as I want for another week or so until it starts happening again.

I'm still not sure what causes it, but it seems like it just needs a break from so many loading screens sometimes.

It is weird that that would even be an issue, but it sounds like a fine plan.

Did you try deleting and re-downloading your profile? If that doesn't work then maybe its just something wrong with your dark souls account. You might have to delete all game progress and start over. I will leave that up to you.

Heroez might have hit the nail on the head. A question, is this happening across the board on all your characters or just on one specific toon?

Yikes, that blows. Before you decide to off all of your characters, I would try to find another solution. I would leave that as a last resort.

I did switch over to a 360 elite, but I can't remember if the switch matches up with when it started.

I had this same problem on my Xbox. I haven't had it on my PS3 yet, but from what I can remember, the best way to deal with it is to stop having any loading screens. (Ex. If you're an invader, host for about an hour).

I have the older model but it still freezes sometimes.
