Lol, I just realised that everytime you edit a message, you essentially append the sponsor message after the word again. You could edit it an nth amount of times and you'd get an nth amount of sponsor messages.

They did the same thing last year. It's a creative use of the swear filter. Instead of blocking the word it replaces it.

This is all part of the new sponsorship initiative! The admin team here are the Dark Souls Wiki forums have been affected, just like everyone else by the global financial crisis. These are hard times we live in (although not as hard as those in Lordran!) and we felt that exploring new avenues of funding would be appropriate providing the adds were small, un-intrusive and didn't compromise the posting experience here on the forums. I mean look at it, you can hardly even see the adds! Everyone wins.
We also felt it was important to have our generous sponsors represented by the community, so the language-filter-tron 9000 has had a couple of tweaks.
All in all we feel this is an important and bold new direction that we had the 'rare' (geddit, because one of our sponsors serves steaks! ha ha
) opportunity to take up, and we are very pleased we did.
