Average KDR in shooters

What's the average kill to death ratio for shooters like CoD? I got a voice message of some guy asking me why he doesn't see me in tournaments since I'm so much better than everyone. My KDR is only 2.85(trying to get it up to 3. I'm getting closer)

My CoD K/D is laughable compared to what it would be in Halo or Dark Souls.

I think my CoD K/D varies between a 1.25 and 1.75 across different games.
My Halo K/D varied between 2 and 4 when I played it.
My Dark Souls K/D I would not like to know. It'd make me feel like I am actually good at video games, when in reality I am only good at Dark Souls.

I was never serious about CoD. I was pretty hardcore with Halo for a while, but that was a while back.

1.4 in BF2&3 and 1.78 in 2142, then again i rarely use vehicles so that kinda effects it, especially because i frequent 64 person vehicle servers mostly.

My Counter Strike Source KD is somewhere slightly above 1

Back when I played TF2 my K/D ratio was something like 50, then again I played that game way too much when I was younger.

In normal shooters I get like a 2-4 usually, the more recent CoD I don't play much so I'm in the negative whenever friends want me to join them.

I used to play Return to Castle Wolfenstein a lot on the original xbox, and Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games as well. I was a slightly above average player and I usually had a 2-1 ratio, give or take. I seldom remember seeing many people higher than that, save for the extreme die hards. But remember, the best player is the one having the most fun!

It's a great fun time.

I don't have all that many hats since I only played up until around the crafting started. I had a spy beret if I remember correctly, a German Helmet for my Pyro, and a few other things which I can't remember.

All I know is when you can write thirty page guides on how to play a class you should probably stop playing said game and focus more on school work.

I always hover around 1 in terms of K/D. I've never seen myself lower than 0.89, but I've also never seen myself higher than 1.13.

Back when i Played CoD i had a 4+ then i kinda found darksouls...

1.78 and i play on Hardcore game types and "One in the Chamber" lol

I feel like anything above a 1-1.5 is average, then if you go up the pros are at 2 or above...

Seriously, how the hell do you guys get KD this high?! :|

i dont know, im just really good as far as i know. 2nd prestige with 2 guns on their 2nd prestige as well

Hmm, i've always enjoyed shooters but never CoD or the like, well the newer ones at least. But on the shooter games i do play i tend to have 2+, though on Socom Confrontation that game i've got like a 85- KDR or something, mainly because that game has a really steep learning curve, now i'm actually half decent at it and my KDR is slowly rising.

i started playing CoD when i got my xbox (its broken now T.T) and i play for fun, never because i want an amazing KDR. Yet somehow i have a better KDR than people who play for their KDR on my friends list. Theirs is negative lol

KDR seems like a kinda trivial stat, especially in something like CoD which from what I understand doesn't matchmake based on rank. It's like how you can go into the Burg and get a 2 to 3 KDR pretty easily because there's no guarantee that you'll be playing against people around your skill level.

That you're not garunteed to play people near your skill is what makes it relevant. It provides an indication (nothing more) of skill relative to other players. If you only played people near your skill, 1.0 would be all anyone ever got.

In CoD i'm at 3.7 last I checked, and in halo reach I'm at around 5.0.

I'm really good at halo (at least compared to most). Its not uncommon for me to get 20 of the 50 kills (team slayer or swat) myself.
