No. They can only be repaired by upgrading them, and they can't be down graded once crystal. They'd be perfect for most builds otherwise.

Nope they are high powered but break quickly and then they are useless. Only point of a crystal weapon is for rare use in special circumstances

You can pull it off with weapons like the DGM that can be bought and have really high durability. +4 crystal doesn't use a slab and is still stronger than +15.

Actually it depends. Crystal weapons can be repaired with the sorcery repair if you don't patch your game.

you can use the Eastern Grain Ring sold by Shiva to reduce the durability loss on them.
