I'd rather not start this, I enjoy watching ENB's content but I agree that it can get annoying when you're in someone else's video and people are trying to dominate the conversation by saying "ENB said it." as though it were gospel even though he himself says he speculates a lot.

Still his work on lore is some of the best stuff out there.

And andres, how did you get that scrolling thing to work. :?:

I feel the same way; people are polarizing this disagreement way too much. Anyways, on to more important matters! Click on "others" in the code and then click on "horizontal scrolling"

    that's all there is lol!

So do you think there is any symbolism in the mention waning crescent moon in the UI? It is associated with endings of a cycle typically, but it is also viewed mostly early in the day like a beginning. Do you think there is any symbolism in it, similar to how the Dark Moon was treated in Dark Souls. ( Dark Moons are associated with being unseen or hidden. )

Thank you for that. Someone needed to give this discussion a u turn.

I was thinking those things also.
At any moment I thought it was going to change color or slightly change in some way.
It is also possible that From doesn't want us to see that part yet, because it's really cool.
Or it could be some sort of new kind of world tendency. Possible but IMO probably not. Unless revamped in a different way.
I really hope it was just turned off for the demo because we aren't supposed to know yet.

It's been stated multiple times that time will play an important role in the new game. Maybe the moon is just a demonstration at how in depth they can make the environments? A lot of the game seems like a "Hey we have a new engine look what we can do!" Also, covenants are coming back bigger, and better, than before so maybe they will affect the environment in greater detail, sort of like what Tolvo just mentioned. All of this seems to compliment the new "zodiac" feel, as my friend put it.

Yeah that would be interesting, zodiac and covenant based spells, maybe even gear and weapons.

Under the waning moon this world changes this way, this covenant can do this special thing.

Balancing it all must be a nightmare too, especially considering if it is based off of the game, a universal server clock, or based off of the PS3's set time.

We might have an animal crossing situation if that is the case.

    Time is convoluted.

Im really excited about this, because time is definitely going to a huge role in some way.

Maybe time travel again, but different from the DkS DLC.
I really like the night and day effecting covenants.
Knowing From, it's going to be awesome.

    ^Pendant lol!

Also, IGN has done an interview with the developers and they emphasized that wind was a key thing they wanted to focus on. Maybe this means that weather/environment are going to effect gameplay? Maybe not on the scale of Animal Crossing, but more like a Pokemon White (2) and Black (2).

Edit: Maybe they can have a time travel method like Ocarina of Time! Possibly Majora's Mask, although that would be a bit much for a Soul's game. I think "traveling" between 2 times would be good enough for me king

Yeah, if you look closely in the 12 min vid during the bridge and dragons, the hero is trying to keep his balance and footing. I wonder what other types of new animations the character will do?

In regards to wind, imagine having to consider wind when using a bow, or casting spells.

I really like what ENB said about the use of time.
He said that it would be cool if you could visit the areas in the game at different times. So since you cant cross the bridge with all the wyverns flying around, you may be able to go into the past or future where the dragons aren't there anymore. I really like that idea. It would add alot to the game.

Yeah IMO VaatiVidya is the best in terms of quality and presentation.
I don't think anyone could argue that.
