    Wii U and "motion controls" Empty Wii U and "motion controls"

    Post by Animaaal Sat Apr 13, 2013 7:18 pm

    I've been playing Skyward Sword for the Wii lately,and DAMN! I'm getting my fata$$ outta the recliner, taking one last "swig" before a boss fight, heck sometimes...I'm standing the whole darn game lol.

    Anyone else wish they would do something like this for Dark Souls?

    Short of virtual reality, no. in virtual reality, hell yeah, but that doesn't exsist in an advanced enough state for me to get behind the idea.

    Skyward Sword used motion controls pretty darn well. I would like to see a game like that use motions that were 1:1 with the controller; like the Nintendoland Zelda minigame, but in a full-fledged game.

    I haven't played Skyward Sword yet but it looks fun. Although I'm against the idea of Dark Souls having motion controls, PVP would be a nightmare with people using some curved sword and just swinging away.

    @Grin

    Try it dude. It's awesome. It's not really rpgish enough for me, but the experience puts it in my top 10 games...kinda like how playing Dark or Demon's for the first time was.

    As far as certain weapons being a nightmare, I really don't see a problem. You'd have to "swing" slower with big weapons, faster with smaller ones and so on and so forth. I'm just speculating though...

    @ :pirat:

    Lol. It really does have a "virtual" sorta feel to it, but I know what you mean.

    @MEM

    Flips 4 real huh?!?!....I'd...get...slaughtered. I dont even want to think about what it would look like watching me actually trying to do a flip lol.

    Prolly something like this:

    Spoiler:

    @Pendant

    Joy

    @Renegade

    :Beer: :Beer: cheers! :Beer: :Beer:

    @Dub

    Agreed.

    I would love to attach my Wii-Mote to my dog's collar, get him really hyped up and just have him run around the house and see what happens in the PvP match. It could even be a dog based tourney seeing which dog causes the best combat effects.
