I want a cape equipment slot in Dark Souls II

Yep I said it, a cape slot.

I want a cape.

Every game needs Caps, and those that have it are 20% cooler.

^Two out of three is enough for me.

I want a dark blue one with a crest on it.

I'd rather it just be that certain outfits have capes. If the cape is an equipment slot then you wouldn't be playing practically to go without one, such as wearing no helm. Thus everyone would be wearing a cape which would look pretty damn silly. Sometimes I like to wear a cape and sometimes I don't.

Then I'd say it was a waste of a slot anyway.

I want a cape armor item; I mean, bare chested but with a cape, kinda like the Spartans for 300.

Make the cape replace the head set and I'd be fine. If not make the game have real cape physics. So make it get stuck in twigs if your running after a long period of time.

I really don't see this happening in Dark Souls though.

There are plenty of people who go without helms in Dark Souls and it's completely practical if you're build doesn't require one. I really do not understand your logic here.

i think capes should make you susceptible to grabbing attacks by enemies that way only pro's or people who value form over function would wear them.

Humbug. This is Dark Souls.

You are not cool. Nor are you faux-cool, pretend-epic, psuedo-legendary or any of that other nonsense you'd see in the trailers for lesser games.

I'm going with no. A cloak, sure. Cloaks are practical. They're blankets/beds/protection from weather. Capes are just something for your enemies to grab for leverage.

I am going to quote Bronn from Game Of Thrones here:

oh my god it's a video game -..- ...no enemy is grabbing a cape unless its a new back stab animation. torn capes would fit the scene

By your same logic, why not include guns that shoot purple dildoes and kill everyone in one hit, at any distance?

To actually address your point, the weapons/armor are very much grounded in reality, if exaggerated somewhat in some cases. Even the magic is generally inkeeping with old myths and legends about magic and its powers. Capes have no similar grounding. One did not enter battle wearing a cape. If possible the cloak would be ditched, for the same reason capes didn't see combat, but at least cloaks are more than a status symbol.

Also when you died you were dead for good and monsters like giant cyclops mole rats didn't exist

in the essence of a battle field I believe that a sorcerer of sorts would wear a cape due to his outlying position on the battlefield.
