online player count. human/soul Empty online player count. human/soul

Post by passivefamiliar Thu Apr 18, 2013 5:58 pm

so i have been playing demons souls alot, but its dead.

got me to thinking what would be nice to see. a menu, a list, a visual representation of if people are online in your area. if people are looking for summons, or human themself. sitting waiting to be summoned, not even knowing if anyone is there....or waiting endlessly to invade because nobody is within range.

i dont want an invite list. i dont want a name list, or even a exact count. just a vague way to see if people are even near your area/level range.

perhaps a amulet, a useable maybe even consumable item that when used says, 'your world and the worlds around you seem.....very active with human souls.
.....not very alive but swimming with phantoms about.
.....teaming with the souls of both living and those lost inbetween.
.....seem to be filled with vengfull wraiths that seek your power.
    .....void of all life.

that kind of an idea. just so you can know if your wasting your time or not.

i always went by the number of ghosts that i see passing by. it won't give you an exact head count but you can always tell if there are other players near by. the ghosts should be around more frequently now that Dark Souls II is going to have a dedicated server.

I look at messages when I want to know how many people are on.
I can promise you, Dark Souls is not dead. In fact, it is anything but dead. It mostly depends on your system. Xbox > PS3 > PC, but even on the PC, which people DO consider dead, you can find plenty of other people.
You are simply looking in the wrong place.

So, you misread my post dibsville.I said DEMONS SOULS. It is sadly aa lot more dead

i spent a couple hours playing, saw plenty of messages (but those dontdon't mean anyone is online at that moment and in your area) but nobody invaded me or picked up my sign. A few days ago i got a bite. But not consistently.

I just want dark souls 2 online to be more user friendly. I dontdon't care what system your on, something was always amiss trying to play online. It worked. But, just a hair off center enough to bug you.

    Aye, so I did.
I swear, I read that opening 5 times and read Dark Souls every time.

    Nice idea.

There have been similar threads before, and I've always supported the idea.

It seems to usually be welcomed by forum members when brought up as well.

I dont think it will happen, especially after reviewing the last interview, but its nice to dream... Sleep

Something else "semi-related" thats been brought up in the past, isthe idea of leaving your SS in say, the Burg, and then still being summoned there while you were in the Depths farming. An ability to be summoned somewhere you are not to sum it up.

i honestly dont think demons souls it dead. ive been playing it recently again and i get invaded all the time, i think theyre noobs(not meant to be derrogatory just that theyre new) or just really bad at the game. because i havent died to them yet. they all seem to be magic users too lol but my trusty blessed crescent axe crushes them everytime lol

As far as I know, you can find the most duels on Friday's. You can always have randoms and be summoned, but 4-1 seems to be more popular each Friday.

Actually, a lot of the people I know who play DeS are 16+. Although it may be school related, it could also be that people don't have work on the weekends.
