fact is man there just isn't anything really on the market like dark souls.
while it's amazing game, it didn't sell anywhere near as much as skyrim (selling like 10m copies by april or something stupid) and because of that it'll be the king of it's uncontested niche.
i dunno... but the ps3 does have demon's souls which is amazing as well. might have to just bite the bullet and get one if you want more souls.

Not sure what platform you use but if you're on a console I highly recommend Dragons Dogma. Great game hands down. There's no multiplayer but there is an online function. Its pretty damn hardcore at times. The combat is really nice. The entire system of classes and leveling is really well done. There are some outstanding issues with the game but if you're into rpg's, your into dungeon crawling and you're into epic boss fights then you'll be pretty likely to overlook these and have a good time with it.

monster hunter, get your *** to the nearest game store and get it, you wont regret it, harder than bothe souls games and so much fun when coop'ing.

Monster Hunter requires time and patience, souls games require willpower and thought. It's debatable which one is harder.
