Is 40/40 worth it?

I have a 28/40 quality build that preforms rather well, however I keep having the thought of bumping it to 40/40 for the extra damage + access to strength weapons. But whenever I go for it, I always reconsider.
So I ask you, what would be better for performance, 28/40 or 40/40?

ta-da, one possibility for a 40/40, you could also switch the battle axe for a shield i guess.

yea its worth it if you're making a pure melee

It is if youre going past sl 100.

Edit; I meant if you don't care about the arena caps. But imo you really don't need but this is coming from someone that 2hs his weapons most of the time.

If you like 1H I recommend 40/40 past SL 100. Their 1H moveset is murderous with any weapon.
