Normally, most of us wouldn't use programs like this because DkS doesn't allow voice communication on PS3 (I don't know about 360). If you can get it working for your PC though, you're more than welcome to use either program. I'd just recommend telling other PC members about these programs too, to make communication easier between you all.

I was going to say "YAY!!" Marino has a pc buddy when I saw this...and well, I just did.
Skype is also very good for voice cooping!! That was my original reason for using skype.
The Exiled also have a skype chat and it works out pretty good. Definitely give it a go Grin and Marino!

Re: Cult of Friendship
Greetings Allies!
I am responding to Marino's post in the Exiled thread.
I would be happy to assist in testing. But I have one question at this point and forgive me if I have missed the answer to this somewhere. Why must Kalameet be defeated?
I would suggest that a low level build would be best for a (bare fist) pugilistic event such as this. Though Power Within at low level might prove a problem. This will be tested.
Defeating Kalameet (if this is a must?) and thus the Sanctuary Guardian is doable at low level. I did the DLC at level 10 but the boss fights are very, very long. And Kalameet can be troublesome. The Guardian and Arty are very predictable and thus, very easy...but again the fights are long with little room for mistakes at low level. Point is that not everyone is into that kind of challenge build even with help.
Since this would be an unassisted fist fight (no dragon bone, etc) the fight "time" must be reasonable in order to sustain the "fun" aspect.
And a bare fist fight can be fun! I was randomly invaded once when my char had nothing but a few strips of cloth on her body. I won't go into why she had no armor, shield or weapons. But somehow my vader realized and he un-equiped everything. We had a rip-roaring fist fight. I laughed so hard my eyes actually teared. He pm'd me afterwards...still laughing!
To summarize: [left]1) Must Kalameet be defeated?
2) To better control fight length in a bare fist fight chars should be Low level without a doubt, imo. Even if assisted (dragon bone etc) the fights at higher levels can be long and diminish the fun that can be had.
3) I will assist in testing and help in drumming up interest in this event.

The reason for killing Kalameet is to be able to get the calamity ring. The reason for this is that once we apply the ring during the fight we'll be able to take more damage and diminish the length of the fight. However, you're right the issue of how big of a challenge this may be at a low level is there. Which is why I'm in a bit of a doubt if we should use this.
I'm thinking that the best way we can do this is if we use a build like this. The build would have base health for a magician, would use power within, would have 2 +2 or +3 cestuses applied on both hands, and then would also have the Dusk Crown Ring equipped so 50% health will be removed.
The one thing that is on my mind though (if we don't use calamity ring) would be this: How high should the cestus be upgraded if we want to take reasonable damage?
I think we should have someone test this out, maybe start with an unupgraded cestus, then +1, then +2, and then +3. If we could get the numbers for the damage these do to a player, with the same gear on I think that would help a ton.
Great to know that you'll help us too Ahho!
I know Marino is doing quite a bit of work with this event, so it is appreciated greatly!

Yeah, I wouldn't for go calamity ring. At least for now. I will test your suggested build against another and see what shakes!
I'll try to get it done this week.

Re: Cult of Friendship
Yeah, i just wanted to maximise the Damage of the Fist, and the Calamity Ring was a pretty good Damage Boost .
Plus i thought it would have been kind of unique to have a true Fist Fight that doesn't take forever thus i came up with all these ridiculous Damage Boosts like Thorn Gauntlets, Calamity Ring, Power Withing and the Dusk Ring .
Of course we can just use a Base Level Sorcerer that uses Power Withing, and +Number Caestus, but it would be less creative .
And yes, i know about the Kalameet Problem, which was why i made a SL 6 Sorcerer who is sitting at NG+ with two Calamity Rings .
Make any changes you want, you don't need my permission or anything . You're way better than i am at making this sound fun anyway
