Re: The "let it out" thread.
@Animaaal: That's not the half of it. A lot can fit into a 20 minute monologue. It was by far the craziest most stereotypical schizophrenic thing I've ever heard in my life.

I spoke to his sister, who lives out of state, after the fact, and I guess they keep checking him into an in-patient program and he keeps escaping. Doesn't fill me with confidence

The problem is that he is of the age to make his own decisions. Plastic they would have to prove in a court of law that he is either a mentally insane or a threat to society and himself. I still be careful though, who knows when an episode would hit for him.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
That's part of why I was trying to convince him to come with me to the hospital. When he was explaining the surgeries they'd preformed on him, I was like well you really should see a doctor then, maybe we should just head over there? If a doctor had witnessed him saying or doing any one of the things I witnessed that would have been enough. I sincerely hope he gets help, and I feel that I had no choice but to report it in some way in order to continue being the man I'd like to think I am, but I also have my own problems, and I can't really afford to allow one that severe to come into my life right now. I'm still dealing with my new health problems, I have one more semester of college to take care of ,etc etc. I think I've just done my part. The rest shouldn't have to be my responsibility.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
I think it was too. It's hard to not feel bad about it to some degree though. I'm sad for him, despite the fact that we were never great friends. I always thought he was kind of an idiot. It's also difficult to know that he was sick and the most I could do was call the police. It just didn't feel like the natural response. I had to get him the hell out of here at the same time though. When he was getting all worked up it was like being around a drunk that you know wants to start a fight with someone, and could decide to any second. I didn't know what he was going to do, and he was looking at my dog like he didn't understand what she was, and she was getting all worked up and barking as he was getting louder in his ranting. The whole thing was just bad news.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Do you think he was trippin on LSD? Animals pick up on that.
But regardless, you did the right thing for sure..no doubt about it.
Narc'in on someone and being in the position you were in are 2 completely different things. As a matter of fact, you would've, imo, been a worse friend for not doing anything.
He OBVIOUSLY needed help. Strange dayz for sure man.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
The thought crossed my mind. I don't think he was actively tripping when he was here, because according to a mutual friends this has been happening for awhile, and he was acting kind of odd when we went to see standup together too. It's really possible that he's done something to his brain by doing stuff like that too much though. If there's anybody I know that that's a possibility for it's him.
I appreciate the support guys. I can't help feeling guilty, but it does help to know I'm not the only one who would react that way.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
He's gotten back to me now. I guess they couldn't take him into custody because he didn't show any signs when they were there. He's listing all these people we know that he says are part of the conspiracy, so I'm contacting them all and warning them that he may try to do something strange to them.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
This is a very strange case indeed.
What would provoke him to think people are conspiring against him?

Ah jeez Plastic that is not good. But that is expected as the episodes can be random at best. You are smart by warning them about him.

No moving and not telling him where to is a better option.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Oh yeah. Absolutely. My doors have been chained since yesterday, and I almost never use those locks, and I was already moving next week.
@Renny: He's very sick, clearly, and from what I gather most of the things he's relating to his delusions are either people, occurrences, or places from our childhood. We grew up in the same small town, so I'm recognizing all these things/people from my childhood also. It really seems like it has to do with his subconscious, like he's acting out a dream. It's really strange.
I've never dealt with anything like this before, so I sincerely hope I'm handling it properly. I reported it to our local mental health facility, as well as the police, and his family that's not directly involved, and I'm contacting all the people he's directly referencing in his delusions and warning them. I've also been suggesting to him that we go get him seen for the damage he believes was inflicted when he was operated on. Hopefully that one works. He hasn't been too too responsive this morning.

Good luck. You're handling it the way I would be. If there's anyway to get evidence of his behavior that'd be good too

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Believe it or not I have another friend whose been through this but has been in treatment for a long time, and I contacted him and he's been consulting me on how best to handle this. Outside of the talk we had yesterday, all my conversations with him have been over texts and Facebook, so I have a written record of almost all of it.
Unfortunately he hasn't directly said anything outlandish on either yet. He's just been defending that "these things really happened."

Re: The "let it out" thread.
I swear to god, there are times where I wish I just had the guts to make the cut. Get it all over with. It's quite obvious I'm not suited for this world, but then, of course, I have to fear death just as much as I fear life. School doesn't exactly help it with all the pressure and anxiety it adds. Where is my f*cking limit anyway? After this much, shouldn't I be able to just finish it off? I seem to think I'm losing it, like I'm getting closer, and sure as f*cking hell I get worse, but not even for a second do I seem to get closer to letting go of the fear.

I'm sorry I can't offer more than just to tell you that you're worth a lot, and I would hate to lose you as a friend. Hang in there, it does get better.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
First off tart I love your new pic. Sorry it's off topic but I loved Death Note. Anyway I understand how you feel the world isn't fit for you and honestly the one thing I can say for that is you just aren't in the right place yet. I hated Texas when I first moved and I hated it for years(still do) but when I finally went to the right public school things changed lil bit by lil bit. Speaking of school why are you still in it? Shouldn't you be on summer break not ha Ing to worry about the ***** that is school? Now im not understanding this but why do you have to fear life and death? Now granted I'll be honest I fear death and I fear how mine will manifest itself but I don't have to fear it and I certainly don't think about it all the time. And why fear life? I know that from what you tell us your life isn't going well and that happens to all of us but why fear it? Is it your fearing what ******** it'll throw at you next? As for your limit I don't know but ill say this im somedays called strong (I don't know how or why) but you are by far a stronger person than I am and honestly when it's over because it will eventually as everything in life ends you will be one of the strongest people around and not just here but I mean like in the world (at least from my perspective and understand of your situation). And if nothing else like den said I would hate to lose you as a friend and not see you here.
