I thought you're rules were fine to begin with.

Here are some things to consider:

1) Starting the match.

*Bow-->buff-->fight
**Some buffs (Karmic Justice / GMB / etc) take longer than others. In which case you can't attack until opponent is buffed. Also, no backstabbing out of a buff.

2) Personally, I'd allow 1 hard humanity heal per match. No DBs or mushrooms.

3) I was fine with no spears.

4) Good luck. Wish I could be there, but I wont have a toon in time. Maybe, but doubtful. I don't bb glitch and wont do the MM, so hope things turn out well. BUT...I got "5" on it yo.

Also, WoG DA spam is also pathetic imo.

I am not going to participate, but for the record I think that in its current state, this is the best ruleset for any DkS tournament I have seen ever.

Dont allow a humanity. That can cause some serious unbalance in the fight. Healing in duels is lame anyways, even replenisent in my opiniom, but i can see why some type of heal for faith builds should be allowed.

Also like someone said earlier just make your own rules and if people dont like it they dont have to participate. Though most will cause of that prize xD

I'll be signing up. I'm assuming there's going to be some sort of bracket for this right?

How likely would you guys say it would be to land a few hits of Acid Surge? Since the fights are two out of three, I could use it in the first round. And, if I happen to make is decently far into the tournament, I'm assuming that my opponents Crystal weapons will be worn down slightly. Thus, making them unable to attack me if I can at least land a hit or two of Acid Surge. Or even worse, hindering their effort to continue in the tournament.

Might as well get a little unorthodox since the chances are that most of my opponents will be more skillful than me.

Yep we'll be setting up a bracket once we have a better idea of how many people want to be involved. Once we have at least 8 I'll start doing some mock drafts of the bracket and see what works.

If we end up having more then expected we might also run matches simultaneously on mine and Sticky's consoles.

Come on guys, this tournament isn't going to happen unless more people signing up. We have 1 person so far.

You guys should set the date for it even further back to be honest. You'd get a lot more contestants that way. And, people would have more to time to make builds.

Have you guys already advertised in other places for the tournament?

Tuesday and more importantly, 4pm cst, is probably what is causing people to not sign up.

I meant, i haven't checked the time converter. I hope i won't have to stay up till like 1-2am for this to start. Got work the next day.

Hmm, 16:00 (4 p.m.) CST is 1:00 in Finland. It's midnight for me.
However, for some reason I doubt it's actually CST. Very few places are in CST right now, most are in CDT. Baal made the same mistake with the Warriors of Steel event, when he said EST but it was actually EDT.
If it's actually CDT, then it's midnight for Finland and 23:00 for me.

It does seem like a kinda awkward time to start a tournament. In the Americas it's in the afternoon or around dinner time on a workday, in Europe it's around midnight, and in Japan it's really early in the morning. It doesn't seem every beneficial for anyone.

Thanks Elifia for checking up the time for me. Sadly, it really seems too late for me in the middle of the week. Hope you guys get enough people to get tournament going.
