Concept Art - Not Sure if Legit but Enjoy

I am not sure if this is legit or if you have all seen them before, but I figured I would post.

I am not passing judgment on any of these. I found a post on Reddit with these links. Some seem suspect, some seem interesting. I just thought I would share.

Time travel theory confirmed?

Reminds me of onimusha and monster hunter.

Interesting, especially in the second link with that woman reappearing in multiple images. It seems out of place for Dark Souls but who knows?

Some of these are drsatically suspect. Some nice images and cool ideas but again, suspect.


However, one look around a couple of bedrooms in Anor Londo would demonstrate that concept art is often very far from the final form (although they did go with Chesty LaRue but admit it, she looks out of place). If I'm not mistaken concept art is usually done by a wide range of artists and;

1. may or may not get used
2. gets redesigned to fit the game scheme



So....could be legit. Some cool stuff regardless.

I'm sure this one was in the Edge magazine but in colour. Anyway I think these are legit and they all look fantastic, especially the female flute armour.

First link looks more likely legit than the second.

the second link has a picture of a female warrior that has different armor than what a male would wear, Gender differences in armor, including in plate armor!

There are a couple of pictures in there that show time travel is gonna be used also.

If the links are real it also shows that we are not going to be stuck inside castle walls anymore due to the pictures that are near coasts and the one near a lake may or may not be in castle walls.

Really hard to determine if these are legit, too. Though, I get that Demon's Souls vibe when looking at some of these pictures.

lol. From what I read, these are from a concept artist that worked on early concepts for the game. That does not mean they would all be included or some things would be changed.

I'd punch someone too....sheesh!

I love the female flute armour. It looks like some elite version of the Balder Knight set. I honestly don't see the problem, it's not like it looks stupid like the Elder Scroll type armour that every other RPG tries to copy.

I swear if this political correctness carries on over I will put up a petition to have a codpiece slot where it grants me a 100 poise when equipped because there's nothing more rigid than a codpiece.

Hey guys check out this, it's like they're sisters.

My only design complaint on those two is the lower female seems too bubbly. The smile mainly. Otherwise I really like both character designs and feel they're interesting takes on traditional styles

This looks like it could be legit. NICE FIND! I am loving allot of it, we can see that time travel is a likely game mechanic, something which has been speculated over for some time now. Apart from that, it looks as if there will be a larger focus on openness in some of the map designs, which I personally am really excited at the prospect of. The idea of a beachside town as the locale for the main hub could either be really awful, or great....still, nothing beats the Nexus in my opinion. I was playing DeS the other day for the first time in AGES and was still blown away by the Nexus. Still, the new township idea is certainly reminiscent of both Dragons Dogma and Monster Hunter.
