Legit Lifehunt build?

Anyone ever make a strictly Lifehunt build? I've played around with it a couple times and never did too good. I felt like it was always missing something. Or maybe it's just not that viable of a build compared to other builds.

Has anyone made a successful build with the Lifehunt scythe? I occasionally run into people using it and i either **** them or i get destroyed myself. It's for sure not a very common weapon, at least not the burg.

Is a lifehunt scythe build really that different from a great scythe build? Great scythe builds are pretty common. You only need a lot of bleed resist, so a bloodshield and bloodbite ring would be useful.

I've played around with a Lifehunt Scythe at SL120 for a while, I did pretty well. Just gotta be really quick on your feet, constantly moving. The running attack is the best attack, after all.

You have to sacrifice a ring slot for the bloodbite ring. That doesn't have any perks beside bleed resistance. Unlike having something like havel's ring with can make the difference between fast rolling and or having poise. So yeah, it's a lot different. And you need 2 more points in strength to use the Lifehunt. You can have a fast rolling great scythe build easy with poise. Lifehunt scythe i'm not sure.

You have to go a totally different direction to use the Lifehunt. Which is why i was asking if had a successful build.

Nah man, i've looked through your builds. I have a couple of them made exactly the way you set them up just with different armor set ups. What's all this talk about manipulating frames.

The bleed resist on that build is only 283. Dontcha think that's kinda low? You can get that without the shield.

You know how you can roll through attacks? That's due to invincibility frames. You technically get hit, but take no damage, and since you get hit, the bleed meter builds up anyway, so you can roll through the attack that bleeds you out, but take no damage from the effect.

Long story short, you can roll through getting bled, thus making the major point of the Lifehunt Scythe, useless.

there's an SL 100 Lifehunt build. Honestly the Bloodbite ring is overkill just the bloodshield is typically enough. Remember you can eat moss to stop bleed build up.

Since if you get hit while rolling the bleed bar will fill up some but you wont take any damage. So if you roll as you take the hit that would make you bleed you don't take any damage from the hit or the bleed effect, and your bleed meter is now empty.

I never even thought of that. That's bullspit. That's kinda like how when something is buffed by charcoal resin and you roll through an attack sometimes you light on fire but don't take damage. Learn somethin new everyday.

That looks pretty good. Might give it a shot. You think it wouldn't be as good at 125?

I'd say Jansports build is much more versatile and reasonable, as mine is based more on a single gimmick and aesthetics. Aesthetics are important to me, which is why on my list of builds you always see this weird set up of armor. So go with hers/his if you want an effective build, and mine if you wish to really spam that bleed and look glorious while doing so.

I always go towards looks. Sometimes i end up with good defense and poise but end up changing it to something that looks good rather than how well it functions. I'll make sacrifices to look good.

This is what i ended up going with. An alternate setup i used was FAP ring and the blood shield and i can have 56 poise. But this is aesthetically more pleasing to me.

Slap the LHS and Bloodshield on a Dex or Q build and go to town. Just be careful against kats and GTs, the LHS matches up really poorly with them because of the doubled bleed buildup.

Not sure how does this build work in practice; but it seems to be right up your alley.

Yeah the bleed doesn't help any. Katana users most of the time like to spam r1 though. One of the easiest weapons to parry in the game imo. All i do is let them hit me a couple times to get their confidence up and the next time they go to swing i parry because i already know what they're gonna do. As they're getting up i shove a black flame down their throat. Rinse and repeat.

Doesn't look bad at all. I have a habit of making Sl120 or SL125 builds so usually i don't think to make a lower level build. That build i posted is the one i made.

That's supposed to have the Gargoyle's helm, not the Knight helm.

I have an announcement. LH Scythe = one of the most awesome weapons in the game.

Really truly I think the bloodbite ring is overkill. I've never used it on my LH builds and I've very very rarely had a problem with bleeding myself, almost exclusively against katanas or GTs does it become a problem.

I hate medium shields. They're heavy and ugly. I never have to worry about bleeding out even against katana's. This build has got me some nice hatemail so far. I'm enjoying it. I can even swap the blood bite ring for the fap ring, change armors get 76 poise and use a different weapon (i was using a lightening gargoyles halberd.)

I never even bring a bloodshield into battle with me. I do however use bloodred moss clumps with my dex build when using the lifehunt.
