Strange invader + screenshot

Hello, I just saw a guy invading my world in anor londo but he was not glowing, he could use estus flask and enter in my fog gates.

Could you tell me what it is?

I did not summon anyone, I didn't wanted help from a player. I said it was an invader because when I get invaded I'm lagging 1 second so I know when someone is going to pop.
So I got my little lag and walk to the place where I know invaders spawn and I saw him spawning and starting beating silver knights.

Ok, but I'm still wondering why he could use estus flask and I tried to heal him but he was not affected by my flask.

For now I'm saying it was an invasion gone bad and he entered your world as a co-op phantom. As for the Estus use, I dunno - must be some PC thing.

Another thing, his name is ''tallgeese vertu'', but he spawned as ''knight tallgeese''. Strange?

Strange. Because that's how guys like Solaire and Lautrec spawn - Knight Whatever.

Maybe dark souls is still covered in mysteries and full of surprise

This is a known hacker, he goes by Knight Tallgeese, amoungst other names, all with Tallgeese in the title.

He invades as a normal character (ie not a phantom) most of the time, although sometimes he invades as a white or gold phantom.

It's not due to an invasion glitch where the game gets it's wires crossed like sometimes happens in the Forest when you try to invade and sometimes pop up as a different phantom, he's using the CE to change his player state.

I don't think he's usually malicious, although I do think he's killed Gwynevere on a few people.

The information is great but the mods may not appreciate an outing such as this. I don't care but I'm just giving you a heads up.

While I understand that discussion of modding and hacking is not allowed, I figured it was better to have the right information about this chap then to have speculation about what happened. I didn't go into how to do it (as I don't 100% know how to do it) but I wouldn't think that metioning CE was used to be 'discussing modding'.

However if the mods choose to remove the post then that's up to them, however if they did it would be a little bit of an overreaction imo.

I never seen this happen i sure hope this doesnt start happening on console but i have seen n have this happen. When invading sometimes u come out has a white phantom instead or a blue but i never seen something like in ur video

What you're describing is just Dark Souls getting it's wires crossed. I invaded as a Forest Hunter a few nights back and invaded as a Red Phantom about 5/25 invasions. Which while a high percentage, isn't unusual.


What you see in the vid is someone hacking their character state to human instead of phantom using the cheat engine.
