    Capture cards Empty Capture cards

Post by Leet Sat Jun 22, 2013 9:17 pm

I'm assuming a lot of you record your gameplay. I don't know much about it but i know for sure you need a capture card.

What capture card do you guys use? I've been looking at a couple and some are $150 and i've even found one for $25. I don't know the differences between the two considering i've never done this but if i could get away with the cheap one that would be nice. Any help is appreciated.

    How does it work?

I'm guessing it comes with software you put on your computer, and you run your avi cables into it and then put the capture card into your computer/laptop? Is it just a USB plug in? Because i have a laptop not a desktop.

if you go for the HD pro it should come with everything, but if you for the Normal roxio you need to buy the Component cables, also known as YPBR those plug from your console into the device and then the device to your Tv then a usb cable from the device into your laptop.

think of your recording device as the hub with 3 points of contact one to your console one to your telly and one to your computer/laptop

Looks legit robs but there's no US currency to buy that. It's in euro's and pounds.

I would look into one of the avermedia ones.  They can record in HD and put it straight onto an external USB hard drive without any configuration at all.  It's by far the easiest thing to set up out of the box and it runs ~$120-125 which puts it on par with a lot of other HD capture cards.  The lack of hassle is really great though.

I use EasyCap.  It costs like $5.  Terrible quality, though.
