dragon bow form

just 1shot kiled me and i've got 1969 hp ;is there no limit to the damage of this bow bs

Its using the an exploit to do a ton of damage.... higher than 1800 without hornet ring. I don't know why he called it "dragon bow form" but thats basically what he's talking about

Does Dragon Form affect normal shooting? I've never got the dragon body so I'm quite curious, considering the Dragonbow has the longest range, I wonder how stupidly easy it could make the game under the right circumstances.

No, dragon form does not affect shooting.

I'll take a dragon bow bser over a flipping mask tank any day.

Eh, I kinda jumped the gun on it. You can edit your post to remove how it's actually performed but that would still leave other posts, probably better to let the folks in charge handle it. I'll probably screw with it tomorrow, and if I see crazy numbers that appears like it may be a glitch, I'll shoot some PMs around.

I'm pretty sure its not a glitch, there's a video on youtube of a guy doing a bow backstab for 30000+ damage, he had the hornet ring, red tearstone ring, power within, dragon roar and the channelers trident all on him. Minus the channelers tridend and the red tearstone ring its still very possible to deal a critical well over 2000 killing any player in one shot. Without the hornet ring, using power within and the dragon roar its still possible to deal 2000+ damage with a backstab.

No, it's a glitch. Dragon roar, power within, etc. aren't required for this new technique. Per Whknight, I'm not going to explain how it's done. But I will say that you can backstab someone with a basic bow, no buffs, no roar, for over 2000 damage due to what appears to be an error in in the backstab and dragon form damage calculations. As far as I know, this only affects bow backstabs.

sucks when i'm trying to fight off gravelord invaders and one of these guys sneaks in to bs, then think they got talent. are the patching days over for from.

Uh, I hate to be rude but that just makes it sound more like a glitch, doing all that and just using the GSoA you cap just over 10k, and I imagine it would be more or less the same using a high damage physical weapon with some form of buff. Getting that off a bow is just insane, if this applies to all of them then I am quite speechless, has this been brought to From's attention and asked if this is a glitch or intended?

Ok so its a dude in dragon form.... so not to bad. A guy in giants with a buffed weapon and hornets ring can ohko, so dont see the problem with a dragon body dude with a bow, atleast you can stunlock the dragon dude easy enuff.

So to sum up... If its a glitch, its not that bad.

Not really a glitch, since it takes no exploiting of any kind of the user. It's just a bug. It's got something to do with the fact that, when you bs with a bow, you're using your fist to do it, so the game mechanics probably take that into account when calculating the damage. Only a dragon's fists do over 300 damage! So, 300 versus the normal 2-3 damage, the calculation gets all screwed up and the damage ends up ridiculous. Probably just something From neglected to foresee!

dragon form superboosts you unarmed attack... bow bs is basically a unarmed bs with the bows scaling and base damage applied, combine those for this effect?

A dragon roar will give a boost to all attacks (which I've tested), so if the game is somehow stacking unarmed along with a bow attack, it would get pretty ridiculous. I've used the level 3 torso on my dex build a lot, but never for backstabs, and never for anything like this glitch.

i gotta say the dragon give you very little defense but doing over 2000 damage is a bits ridiculous for pvp.

I'm kind of in this boat too, as I spent a lot of time getting to level 3 in the covenant, but the way I look at it is, as long as someone in a dragon build isn't looking for crazy backstabs, people should just give them the benefit of the doubt.

Well, whatever we want to call it, this thread already has 200+ views, not too bad, but Whknight, you may want to pm this sooner than later so that Fex and them can make a decision. Even if you want to test it out to confirm, we can always update the mods about it later? (not sure if they can repost a removed thread).

I tried it myself just to see what was going on, was just never able to get back on to post anything, and as far as I can tell the insane damage increase is mostly limited to being a dragon. It may be possible to put some frightning numbers out, but with a decent amount of VIT you should survive at least 1 maybe 2 hits, so in effect it's about the same as normal crazy backstabbing.


Call it a glitch or a bug, but from what I'm seeing I feel somewhere along the line damage calculations seem to be getting distorted, I'll send Fex a PM let her decide if this would be against rules.
