The Divine Duelist(Dex/Fai) Empty The Divine Duelist(Dex/Fai)

The Divine Duelist, a messenger from the Gods here to deliver the Gods' wishes, a can of whoop *** to the scum that inhabits Lordran

A Divine Estoc can be menu swapped for when I'm not buffing, the buff is really just there to fight those who choose to buff as well.

You can replace Sunlight Blade with Darkmoon Blade and swapping covenants to Darkmoons for the sake of lore purposes.

I found the Darkmoon Bow to both be cool looking, and to have the highest AR out of all the bows, however I don't have the strength for a Comp Bow, and I never checked Divine Bows so there may be a better choice.

I went with 120 out of habit, that's usually the levels I set all my builds at.

Armor can be changed for something lighter, and generally if there's no strength requirement you can use it on this build as well, as there is room left over in the equip load compartment.

I picked Parrying Dagger for several reasons.
    1.Style points
2.I suck at parrying, so I figure this would help me learn to parry, and the window is larger
3.I rarely use shields, so why not?

    Opinions?

For 1 pt in Str you could use an Occult Comp Bow which will have a bit more AR.  Less range, but that's irrelevant for a "duelist".

if you take off havel's ring, and replace it with the FaP ring it comes out better.

i took five point out of vitality, and put 4 into endurance. With RoFaP, this gives you fast roll, more HP, more endurance, And an extra point to spare. There is literally no downside to the change.

I would have never known, thanks for that! :3

EDIT:That edit you did was almost perfect, I couldn't maintain a fast roll with Estoc, so I changed to Golem Leggings.

A few things I would like to note.
As far as I am aware, there are no significant poise break points between 61 and 70, so I lowered the poise to 61 by changing the coat, leggings, and gauntlets a bit while still maintaining part of the look you were wishing for. Made sure to be able to wield the Estoc, you now have FaP ring instead of havels, a different starting class for two extra points which I felt that I had to use them for attunement. You have a good level of faith going, why not flaunt it more? So I put on Replenishment. Kept the bow as is because I love it, you now have more strength for a wider variety of weapons, and just for funsies I added a grass crest shield as well in case you found that most of the time you just had that parrying dagger sitting in your hand doing nothing.

    Enjoy.

Is there a particular reason for 35 faith? Or is it just the extra bit of scaling and Adj. because In my personal experiences the difference between 30 and 40 faith is so small I never feel it's worth going past 30 unless you're going all the way to 50.

Which would free up points for you. Depending on the type of duels you take part in the Defensive Faith buffs could be a big deal for you. Replenishment and GMB. If in the rules for these duels buffing happens before the bow then you have no issue getting both a body and weapon buff on. But this would require a little more attunement which I believe is worth it at 30+faith

Other then a small and few differences the idea of buffing light dex weapons is a proven powerhouse and from there Armor is down to preference or the harsh master of optimization.

Never use Golem leggings besides if you like the look better. Giant's leggings weigh the same, better defense, 1 more point in poise etc.

I've seen several poise tables that state Black Flame does 60 poise damage.

However, I've personally seen a couple people from this forum test that number, and determine that Black Flame actually does 61 poise damage and requires 62 poise to resist.

Its not incredibly significant, but I always try to hit 62 instead of 61....IF I can do it without sacrificing too much.

I use 61poise semi normally (giant gloves+wolf's) and I've always used it for the 2 katana hits. But I do believe Black Flame doesn't stagger me when it's the first hit. It usually will stagger as any recent hit pushes it over my poise limit.

Maybe I just think it only staggers when I've been hit by something else first. And really it always staggers. I'll have to pay closer attention next time.
